You were awoken by a slight trembling. It grew faster and stronger, as did your heartbeat. Fear ran through your veins, and the constant darkness did nothing to appease you. You could hear the whimpering of the others, and attempted to call out and ask what was happening. Your cage suddenly lurched forward, and as if by a miracle, the lock that had imprisoned you for many years snapped off. The shaking stopped, and though you could see nothing, you could smell the fear scent polluting the air. It was deathly quiet. As if by silent agreement, everyone knew that there was only one thing they could do.

Plot: A private collector owned many canids, until a sudden earthquake broke the cages and caused the humans to leave the city. The canid's must now work together to escape the city and learn how to survive in the wild.

The city is sorrounded by a desert-like area, but traveling further North leads to a mountain range. Passing through the mountains leads to a forest.

The private collector owned a house right in the middle of a city. Though the humans have gone, the city is full of other animals and dangerous human items.

The desert is inhabited by many venomous snakes, spiders and scorpions. It becomes unbearably hot during the day, but cools down at night.

The mountain range commonly has rock slides and many unstable spots. It is also hard to catch prey, due to the sudden drops and crumbling rocks.

The forest is protected by the government, but many illegal poachers stop by. There are also many other wild animals that would not hesitate to kill.

Kanixx

Kanixx woke up, dazed from the earthquake. How long had he been out? No one knows. Small flakes of white snow scattered on top of his pelt, making his once dry torso, soggy from the melting ice. A long sigh escaped his maw. Metal pieces fell on his back when the disaster hit. He flattened his ears and winced in pain as he attempted to get up, but no luck. He panted, puffed out from multiple attempts. The wolf laid there, blood dripping down his multiple coloured pelt that dripped down onto the stone concrete. The Brutus tried once more, but then again, he failed.

Ginseng

After the shaking had passed, Ginseng cautiously poked her nose out out of her cage. She padded out, still uneasy and on high alert. Her eyes swept across the room, and she felt a tremor of excitement when she saw the door was slightly ajar. There was a perfect opportunity for escape! She had almost left right then and there, when the metallic scent of blood reached her, a reminder that the others were there too.

"Is everyone okay?" She called out hesitantly, slowly following the scent to Kanixx's cage. The blood had coated the floor around him, creating a slippery surface. His back was a bloody mess that sickened Ginseng.

Ginseng

She hesitated, staring at Kanixx's wound, before darting off to find the others. She heard someone say they were okay, but that they smelled blood. That would be Kanixx. She thought grimly. She knew there were at least two others, and she trotted towards their cages. She needed to make sure no one else was injured. If Kanixx was the only one, they could all help him escape, but if more of them were injured, everything would immediately become harder.
