"After a big bite!" Said Blackheart. "Sweetkit, will you go fetch the sparrow?"

"Why should I? I'm no-" began Sweetkit.
"I don't care, just get it." Interrupted Bluestar "We will see when she comes back."
Sweetkit ran and got the sparrow. "It was sort of half buried," said Sweetkit "But there was just a trace of Eaglestripe on it."
Flipping the bird over, Bluestar saw the big bite that had been taken out of it "Eaglestripe, I don't want to kick you out, so I will ask you to step down. I'll have to think of who will replace you, so until then, you remain deputy until moonhigh."

"hold on look at the teeth marks those are not mine look i dont have that kinda of bite mark" eagle said trying to defend herself

Sweetkit snarled "It has your scent and no one elses."
Bluestar put down her head and sniffed it "Except for Sweetkit's, but she doesn't have that big of jaw. I'm sorry Eaglestripe, this is how it has to be."

"I'd think that Eaglestripe would be glad to get off this easily" Blackheart said "I'd kill her if she was in my clan," he remarked to Sandstrike "Or run her off" Sandstrike agreed "That to" He said.

Jayfeather although shy before now yowled "But how can we be absolutely sure I mean yeah it may have her scent on it but it could possibly have been picked up by someone else while she was still hunting or her scent may be to strong for you to tell the other cat's scent. all I'm saying is we shouldn't go through with this till we know absolutely that it was her!"

"Yes, but the fact remains that Eaglstripe said she carried it back to camp, and I saw with my own eyes, the huge bite she took out of the live bird." Blackheart said
"It was still alive!?" Sandstrike gasped in shock. "That would explain why the bitemark was different."
"It would indeed." Blackheart said, knowing there was no other scent.
