Caught myself a beautiful shiny Guzzlord~ I decided that the first legendary/UB wormhole I entered after getting my Shiny Charm, I'd SR for a shiny, and it took me about two days, but here he is~


Might consider going for some other shiny UBs/Legends while I'm wormhole hopping... But first, the last Mantine Surf, then the RR Episode...

And from showing off my newest shiny, a question from the other page I was going to answer...

Do any of you guys remember your first shiny you got on your own without trading for it?

So, my first non-Gyarados shiny (as I guess almost everyone who's played since before GS has had that as their first...)? There's a small bit of a story involved (well, not really, but some quick background). So, in Ruby and Sapphire, there was a mechanic where swarms would happen in certain routes... On this particular day, it was Skitty, so I was there, finding and catching a load of Skitty (I had at least two boxes worth by the end) and in the middle, this Tailow popped up... Tailow on its own, not too exciting, but one I encountered that day? Instead of the usual blue, it was an interesting green. Of course, I caught it, and then caught another normal Tailow after to be its "Pal" (yes, that was the second one's nickname. I forget what I called my shiny one...)
Transferred it up through games, and somewhere during either 4 or 5, something happened! I'm not completely sure what, but that Tailow (had evolved, so was a Swellow at this point) is now gone... Whether it was accidentally deleted, or traded, or one of my siblings grabbed it, I'm not sure... Maybe one day I'll go for another shiny Tailow/Swellow, as a sort of "memorial" to my long-lost shiny...

My first Shiny was before HeartGold and SoulSiver came out, and I was born into Gen III, so I never played G/S/C. It was 100% dumb luck, I started up Ruby, picked Torchic, and it was shiny. At the time, I didn't even know what Shiny Pokemon were, and when I found out about them, I was so sad that I'd already restarted my game... T_T DAMN YOU INEXPERIENCE DURING THE EARLY DAYS OF POKEMON! DAMN YOU I SAY! Next Shiny was a random encounter Karrablast in Y

My first shiny was a Flabébé in Pokemon Y. I was actually trying to hatch a shiny shinx and was taking a break when I found her. I wasn't 100% sure if it was shiny (since it's very hard to tell with the way the battle is angled + I wasn't sure how sparkles looked like) but I thought why not just catch it and see if it's shiny. I am very glad I did. :)
Although I would have been even happier if it was a shiny shinx. ;w; I still don't have one yet. Kinda gave up after 500+ eggs.

My first shiny was a shiny rattata in Heart Gold! I was making my way up the bell tower to catch Ho-oh and came across the little guy halfway there <3
I was so excited, I kinda want to transfer him up to my Ultra Moon to keep as a memorial but I dont want to take him out of his original game ;w;

My first shiny pokemon was a Shiny Horsea in Pokemon X, I was fishing when suddenly it appeared. I leveled him up into a Seadra, he got to about level 45 before I traded him.
My second shiny (that I caught) was a Gastly in Pokemon Moon. I remember going to the graveyard place just to level up my pokemon when suddenly while in a battle I encountered it. it looked normal at first to me, but after it called for an SOS pokemon I noticed they were different colours (I didn't see the sparkles as I looked away) and was panicking so much!

what was the first shiny you ever received?:

Not counting the shiny Gyarados in HG/SS, a shiny Passimian from Wondertrade was my first. The first I ever caught myself was a shiny Magby (also in Sun, after getting the shiny charm), and the first I ever got by chance was a shiny Purrloin (now evolved) I caught in Pokemon Black right in the very beginning.

My first shiny was Psyduck in FireRed! It was my very first Pokémon game and it was a random encounter. Little me didn't know what a shiny was back then, but I did catch it! I re-started my game later, though, and my blue Psyduck was lost forever ... oh well.

I'm obsessed with the Ultra Warp Ride, please, someone stop me. I caught over half a box full of Pokémon already, four of them were shinies! And I keep running into legendary after legendary. I was a bit surprised when I met Mewtwo and Kyogre, because I was told that certain legendaries aren't available until you beat RR, but apparently that was wrong information. I haven't even finished the last trial yet.

My first shiny was a Persian in Fire Red back in middle school/high school. Since then I've refined my shiny hunting and gotten maybe 15-20 more over the years? DPPt during the PokeRadar days was my most successful.
