Mountain rolled on her back, the cardboard box providing satisfactory shelter. She was just outside the territory of the Smoky Colony, and relished the scent of food. She was hungry, but she didn't dare cross into their territory. They would probably skin her alive for taking their food. She stretched and yawned, bored. As always. She stood up, shaking her legs out, and padded out into the alleyway. The smell of food was always strong, and she enjoyed waking up to it. She had kind of forgotten what a real meal tasted like. She usually just ate scraps she found or humans throw to her. Most humans are usually not that nice though. She trotted out of the alleyway and to the closest trashcan. Mountain prodded it with her paws, sniffed it, and checked it out. She placed her front paws on it, and started plunging up and down into the side of the green container. It tipped, sending the lid flying, and the contents spilling over the ground.
Mountain ruffled through it, pawing through wrappers with little to no scraps, and food green with mold. She rifled through it, desperate now for at least some food. She hooked a claw into a heavy wrapper, filled with salty potato sticks. She licked her lips and scarfed them down. It wasn't the most ideal source of nutrients. But it would do, for now.

Cami saw as Roland returned, and relief flooded over her. She couldn't stop herself from yelling, "Roland!" And running over to him. She tackled him and nuzzled him once they were on the ground. Then she immediately pulled herself back up to her feet. "Oh.. sorry.." she said, realizing most cats probably don't greet others like that. "I'm glad you're back." She said quietly, realizing he probably wasn't gone for too long.

DUSK

Eyes narrowed, Dusk got into a crouch, eyes fixed on the injured rodent. To her left, a she spotted a flash of movement, and turned to face a large dumpster, where a tiny mouse scrambled over the brim. “I’ll get the mouse.” She hissed, trying not to make too much noise.

Whisper fluffed up her short fur, and took a quick step forward. “Yeah...but let’s investigate first...” she said, tail swinging against the ground.

Grasshopper gave a small mew, and looked at her mother as she leaped away.

Hearing her sister mewing loudly, she got the idea that it she mewed that loud too, Mother must hear them and come back, so Grasshopper let out a loud, sad, wail.

Barb nodded at Dusk, and watched her as she caught the mouse. He had been playing around with the rat, who he assumed was blind but of course he didn't actually know. He jabbed it with one claw, and watched it run away. Then he jabbed it with another, and watched it change direction. He realized what he was doing was cruel and quickly ended it's misery, watching Dusk go for the mouse.

Tux nodded. He wasn't sure if this was the best or smartest idea, but it was exciting. He felt like he was going on an adventure. He followed Whisper to the other cats.

"Oh that's alright." Cami said, looking at the beef on the ground. "I umm... don't like being alone. I guess it's just because of my past. I grew up in a lab, you see. Whenever anyone left, they usually didn't come back. I... uh... didn't want you to not come back." She said, her ears flattening in shame. "They don't like being alone either." She joked, hearing her kittens meowing loudly on the other side of the room. She slowly padded over to her kittens, nuzzling them until they fell back asleep. "Um.. sorry about that again." Cami said to Roland. Whispering so her kittens wouldn't wake up.

Whisky huffed, pushing himself to his paws and stretching out. "Alright, alright, I'm up. Are you happy now?" He lifted a paw, playfully batting Creek's nose with it. Afterwards, he practically hauled himself off of the palette with a dramatic groan.

Specter currently sat on top of the concrete bridge, where, underneath the colony's camp sits. Underneath, he could hear the other cats stirring, but didn't feel compelled to greet any of them. Instead, he sat by himself, watching the fast-moving world around him as he quietly groomed out his long white coat.

Blossom had an early start to her day, quietly padding out of the colony's camp and carefully making her way across the territory, making sure to avoid heavily human-populated areas. She found an area with a line of trash cans, and immediately scented the air, catching onto the smell of a rat. She could hear the soft squeaks, too. Walking with light footfalls, she searched the area for the rodent.

Rosa's gaze settled on the two mollies Tux pointed out. She nodded in response to Whisper and Tux's conversation, padding toward the two unfamiliar felines in the distance. "Pardon me, you two, may we speak with you?" She gently called out to the two cats [Bethanie and Ourea], picking up her pace toward them afterwards.

Ebony finished off his meal, and noticed one of the mollies of his clan, Flower, staring at him. He twitched a bit, considering whether or not to approach her. After a bit of consideration, he stood up, and walked over to her. "Good morning, Flower, how are you?" He greeted her softly.

Marble was lying on her side atop a counter in the kitchen, where a beam of sunlight shined down from between the barred window. She purred quietly, enjoying the pleasant heat. She was glad she got to the spot this early, as sometimes she woke up too late to relax there. With a grin across her face, she rolled onto her back, letting the sun heat up her belly.

Shere Khan prowled along the edges of his territory, making sure that no curious cat has made their way into his territory. He carefully scented the air, listened closely, and kept an eye on his surroundings at all time. If any cat happened to step foot into his land, it would be certain that they'd pay for it.

Howl shrugged his shoulder. "Alright, suit yourself." He sat down casually, trying to groom out the rather gross stench of trash from his pelt. He made a note to go to the park later and roll in some plants. He glanced back up at the other tom as he asked whether or not he was from the nearby colony. "Nope, I'm just a simple wanderer. You're free to go about as you please."

She commented, glancing between the two fellow house cats, specifically Dolly when she asked where they should go today. "A stroll around Brick Colony's neighborhood couldn't hurt, or we could head to the park. It's up to you two, I don't mind either way."

Flower hears a voice and realizes that Ebony has walked over to her and spoke to her, her heart pounding harder. "Hello Ebony!" she said. "I am doing good so far! How about yourself?"

"I know that my people will be leaving soon, to go to some weird thing they watch on their TV all the time. I don't mind being out a little longer than usual." She added.
