-Revol bounded down the road, tail sweeping back and forth. The sky above him was a pale pink, quickly fading to purple as the sun set. The gurgle of the nearby creek followed him as he traveled down the overgrown path. He could hear the occasional swish of grass further into the forest, likely caused by squirrels or other wild animals.

His memory guided him down the path as he headed leisurely to his destination, enjoying the rare solitude. In front of him the path faded more, signifying he was nearly at the end of his journey. Smiling, he quickened his pace to a light job. The cold stone under foot gave way to sandy dirt and in front of him the brush began to falter, letting grass pave the way. He let his paws move himself forward. Finding a winding path of jutting stones, he hopped up until he reached a high point with a comfortable perch.

Below him was lightly shimmering lake, the late evening light causing the water to be varying hues of dark pink and purple. Lightly flickering lights danced above the water as fireflies moved over the lake. In the distance sounded a frog as it jumped into the murky edges of the lake. Soaring above were a few bats, doing some early hunting for the insects that buzzed lightly over the water.

Revol yawned and laid down, tail curled over his forepaws. Lowering his head to the still sun warm stone, he watched the lake as the light slowly filtered from the sky before falling asleep.
