If you're patient you can get fair trades for the gwj. I was impatient and traded it for a sorb and an advent list. Right now it is unfair to you, but I'm not sure exactly what fills the gap.

nons go for fair trades, and the gwj fetches slight underpay or fair trades if you're patient . considering that the demand of both pets are average, they need to add a red toxic-ur butterbun tier to their side .

I would advise to stay with your quantity. Rats can be difficult to trade off, and you might not get offered more than you're trading for it. Unless you are specifically looking for that rat, I would say to wait for a better offer c:

I would also agree with the person above, even if the rat is "rarer" that doesn't necessarily entail that it has a demand at all. But if you really like that rat than go ahead.
