The first one, I would say slightly unfair to you.
The second one, I will say it is unfair to you. The difference between the years is enough that the pets that they add won't make up the overall difference.

If you consider all the store pets at their regular rare/VR value equivalents I'd say that's about 7-8 mixed 2009 rares in value. It's roughly what I'd value a mid advent dog at - though I might say it's a touch unfair to you if anything. Personally I might drop one of the 2017 store pets from your side - but in the long run it's not a huge difference as list pet values are a bit flexible. :)
