♔ The tom thought for a second before responding. "Every cat in the clan has the opportunity to train to become a medicine cat or a warrior," he started with. "The only real requirement is that you have to be an full member of the clan. Being a full member of the clan means you can't go back to your old life." The tom truly hoped he didn't scare the young kittypet, but knew that, at the same time, he had to know that it was one way or the other. No take-backsies.

Squirrel

"How come?" The tom asked as he frowned, the first time since he met Brambleleaf. The ginger cat was simply confused on why you couldn't join the clan, but return back to your home when it got dark. Squirrel then gave Brambleleaf an innocent look with a tilt of his head as he awaited the Medicine Cat to answer his question.

Snowpaw - Female - 11 moons - Location: in camp - Tag: Brambleleaf, Squirrel

After taking a break from the conversation, Snowpaw decide to pipe back in. "'Cause the clan depends on everyone! If you're not always around then if something happens you can't help or the clan can't trust you to help when things get tough if you can just leave." She looked at Brambleleaf for confirmation. "Right?" She also felt there was more to it than just what she said, but she couldn't quite find the words to explain.

Ivypaw - Female - 7 moons - udderly small - all kittypet blood

The small shecat crept towards the plump mouse, her pale green gaze was kept on the clueless mouse. Her long ears flicked back and forth as she pounced on the mouse,then killing it swiftly in one bite of the neck. Instead of being with her mentor, she was alone. The cat had always found a way to sneak out every now and then. Ivypaw began to trot back home while carrying her prey. She was bracing herself for the long lecture of her mentor, but deep down she really didn't care. What she cared about was being judged by her clan for her kittypet blood. Simply, she brushed the worry off her shoulders. She'll prove that anyone can be just like a full blooded clan cat.

♔ "That's correct, Snowpaw," the tom agreed. He noticed Squirrel was starting to look a little frustrated. "It also makes it harder to get to know you and train you if you cannot be in the camp all the time. It may also make other cats think you don't like us or don't respect our clan. Not to mention if you decided to become a medicine cat, you would have to be in the camp very often in case someone gets injured at some odd time." The tom knew hos response would not make the young kittypet any happier, but hoped it at least didn't drive him to wall away. A cat as curious as Squirrel could do good for the clan.

Squirrel

"I wanna stay, kinda, but my upwalkers would be worried and I don't wanna scare them..." The young tom said hanging his head a little lower because he felt defeated. There was no way he could join and be with his owners, and he really loved his owners because they played with him and fed him and groomed him too.

Snowpaw - Female - 11 moons - Location: in camp - Tag: Brambleleaf, Squirrel

"..Up...walkers?" Snowpaw tilted her head to the side. "Oh twolegs! But why would they be worried about you?" Growing up Snowpaw always heard of how twolegs did strange things and imprisoned cats for no reason. They occasionally sat on top of strange moving creatures, like the awful ones she saw in the marshlands or river. They roared and tore through the water, sending waves washing up on the normally peaceful banks. She also heard stories (from elders who heard them from loners from far outside the territory) of worse giant monsters that ran down hot paths with scents that burned your nose and noise like thunder. Even worse they would kill you if you got in their way! Snowpaw shuddered, she was glad there were no "thunderpaths" in the territory.
