'' Your new. Of course you wouldn't know what i'm talking about....but ..i guess you didn't get the memo, like a few fortunate souls do. '' she paused, thinking. '' I'll be surprised if you haven't realized it already, but this town isn't quite.....normal. For instance, the towns a monarchy, but that is just the beginning. In all honesty, it's probably the most normal of all the abnormalities of the town. Now, the fun part to explain. Your not going to be finding a job anywhere. Not unless you somehow end up being extremely lucky. That, or you join the 'underground resistance'. The people of this town aren't normal. At least the people who run this town anyways. Store owners, the royal family, ect. Therefore, there isn't much room left for us...normal human beings. We can't really get much for jobs here. The way we make money or buy things is with our blood.'' she smirked slightly. ''thankfully i haven't had to do that yet....i still have a few days to prepare for the inevitable. '' with a gentle sigh, she gave the girl a few minutes to process the information. '' well...if you haven't figured it out yet, the town's run by vampires. I understand if you want to run, if you don't believe me. I didn't believe the person who told me until i seen someone forcefully dragged off and feasted upon by one. '' letting out another sigh, she paused. The girl was new, but she had to process all this information at once...at least as much as she could. It wouldn't be safe knowing anything less. '' Now...um...i would recommend holding off as long as you can on whatever money you brought with you. Once you run out though...i don't like the fact, but it's better to make a deal and be claimed then be forecfully claimed. If your forecfully claimed your pretty doomed on getting money. You'll have to rely on whatever vampire claimed you. If you get claimed willingly, by making a deal, you can get paid for your blood weekly. However, there are cases you can not be claimed but just get money by allowing vampires to take your blood. you can pay for things by paying with blood, but i can't promise a vampire won't forcefully claim you or drag you off to feed on you. I'd say someone here is killed by a vamp at least once a month. Maybe twice. oh, and don't hurt the vamps. it's against the law here.''

Opening the door to his balcony, he walked out to the edge, looking out over the city, watching as a small rainstorm rolled towards them in the distance. He always liked the rain, always finding it rather pleasant. The only problem now is that he was hungry.
However the humans kept trying to get him to pay them for their blood! He was the king's brother for goodness sake! He should be as equally privileged as his brother. Grumpily he returned to his room, showering and getting ready for the day. Eventually he changed into a plain black t-shirt with dark-wash jeans, putting on a plain black jacket over his shirt because of the rain. From there he left the castle, feeling the modestly warm air on his skin, followed by a gentle, warm breeze. He was hungry, yes, but he could last for now. For the time being he would just search for maybe potential candidates to be his new food source. Alas, there did not seem to be many humans outside currently. Though he couldn't blame them. Though the sun wouldn't hurt them, the vampires did prefer less sunlight rather than more sunlight; therefore, more of the vampires would be out and more of the humans would be hiding.
With a huff he continued walking, eventually ending up in the community park.
