Nelly helped Creampuff the best she could but she didn't want to leave Biscuit alone. If they didn't believe the story, the clan cats could kill him for "killing" Dappleseed. She slipped away from Creampuff and Coal and went around the back of the table and around, so they wouldn't be spotted so easily. Summoning her new found courage, Nelly carefully walked to Biscuit but was a little off so she ended up like two tail lengths away instead of next to him. A part of her was scared but she was trying to do her best for her friends because they were her family. She was insulted that someone young had called them dumb but that was the least of her worries. Nelly's eyes looked at the patrol although she couldn't actually see them and spoke "I can promise that we have no wish to attack. As for what happened here, it really is a tragedy." Her voice was laced with sorrow and Nelly continued "One of the housecats here started going into labor and Dappleseed came to help. You see, we never helped deliver kittens before and Dappleseed must have been passing by and decided to help. Sadly, in the process we were attacked by a stray cat and Dappleseed gave up her life to help save ours, most importantly, the kittens." The calico's eyes flickered down at the sounds of the memory came back to her. She closed her eyes and opened them before finishing "We didn't kill her and if anything, I am sure we wish we could have saved her. She didn't have to help us or fight and yet she did although she was a clan cat. We were about to help return her body to the clan so there would be closure and so she could get a proper burial. It shouldn't have gone this way.. I know it looks bad but I swear I am telling you the truth. It would be wrong to lie, especially about how Dappleseed died."
Birdflight
|| She-cat | 28 Moons | Warrior | Crush: Open | Location: Camp | Tags: Open ||
The brown warrior sat to the side of the clearing enjoying a nice squirrel. She was trying to distract her mind from the patrol that went out in search of Dappleseed. The she-cat believed that Dappleseed was alright but with the patrol still gone, it made Birdflight start to think differently. Birdflight tilted her head towards the sky and prayed to Starclan that the missing warrior was alright and alive.
