There were quite a few faces that Frigidrose hadn't met before amongst the group of leaders. Most were already conversing with others, but she spied a handsome brown tabby who appeared a bit lonely. The silver she-cat approached him with a small smile. "Good evening. I'm Frigidrose, deputy of LeafClan - our leader couldn't come tonight. I don't recall seeing you before.... What's your name?"

Butterflies flitted about in the young warrior's stomach as he stepped into the clearing. Noticeably gulping, he eyed the crowd nervously for a moment before convincing himself to continue forward. So many cats.... So many strange faces, scents.... Ravenwish felt lost already. Quickly he trotted to the edge of the area, his heart pounding. Maybe he would have a better time just watching....

"That's great Raggedstar, they all have my blessings. Ah, I still remember my own, it feels so far away now." Mintstar replied with a smile, staring out into the crowd as she briefly reminisced about naming her first set of apprentices. As she stared, she could have sworn she saw Fritillarystar of MoorClan stare angrily back, but before Mintstar could be sure the other leader's attention was taken by two other cats. The molly shrugged it off, ignoring the unsettling feeling in the pit of her stomach as she directed her attention back to Raggedstar, nearly missing the dark look in his eye as he mentioned a queen's new litter.

"... And is she alright? If you don't mind me asking, anyway."

Asphodelface came to the gathering for two reasons, one was to further prove his loyalty to PineClan, and the other was for a ginger-and-white molly who was starting to make his heart soar. He and Cloudyspots of CloudClan had been meeting up with one another quite often as of late, every meeting making him feel happier than the last. As much as he enjoyed her company and told her as many things as he could about himself, he could never tell her of his past before joining PineClan; a cold-hearted rogue who cared for no one but himself and his leader's son, a past he wasn't proud of and one he wanted to leave behind.

Cloudyspots was shaping him into a better cat although she didn't know it, he thought of her as a good friend and admittedly fantasied about what it would be like to be something more. Rationality often stopped those fantasies in their tracks - a warrior and a medicine cat would be breaking the code, and he didn't think he deserved anyone like her. He watched from the sidelines as Cloudyspots was approached by another tom with distinctive black spots, a young pale tom by her side. A smile played at his maw, maybe he'd leave her speaking with other medicine cats instead of eating up her time.

Vervaincloud chuckled at the prideful look on Gorsebird's face, finding it endearing. "Really? What a coincidence, I've gotten my own apprentice too." He replied, thinking of Lavenderpaw back home. He had been rather taken aback by how serious she took training, especially when the warrior code was involved, but it wasn't like he was complaining having a more dedicated charge to take under his wing until she was ready to become a warrior. "But congratulations, Gorsebird. They're pretty lucky to have you."

Juniperpelt wore a smile of his own as he saw one on Hillfang, satisfied he helped make the molly feel feel a little better. "Anytime," He replied just as quietly. A laugh followed hers concerning the seven kits, and once again he felt content knowing he made Hillfang happy. "StarClan only knows! You should've listened to Mintstar, having to say so many names..." He mewed, groaning in over-exaggeration as he mentioned the ceremony, there had also two new Clan members introduced that day too - but he had been told not to mention anything about them until they completely settled in.

The tom grew respectfully quiet as Hillfang told him of how her Clan was faring against the aftermath of the fire, mind feeling clear after learning that ForestClan was seemingly getting back up on its paws again. "That's great, Hillfang! I'm glad you guys were doing okay," Juniperpelt mewed, though he was more relieved that Hillfang looked to be just fine.

The idea of gatherings fascinated Orchidnose ever since she first learned about them, something about being around so many different cats and Clans seemed to bring out the curious side in her, so the gray molly was content watching everyone go by from where she sat with the rest of her own. Her eyes flitted towards a tortoiseshell pelt moving through the crowd, reminding her of the pretty MoorClan molly she met earlier this moon. Orchidnose flushed at the thought of meeting Smallwhisker here, though she was not averse to seeing the mild-mannered cat again. Excusing herself, she got up to her paws and padded towards the other feline.

Acornclaw quietly giggled as she touched noses with Snakeshade, immediately missing the close contact once he pulled away from her. "It's good to see you, Snakeshade! Well I mean it's always good to see you, b-but... Oh, you know what I mean!" She sighed, embarrassed at her own words as she stared to the side. She chastised herself for acting so bashful, giving Snakeshade an apologetic smile before huffing and giving him a proper reply. "I've been fine! My father's been giving me a hard time recently, but I can deal. And you? How are you handling being a warrior?" She asked, a teasing look in her eye.

As a younger tom he had always been close to Cloudyspots, especially after the death of Misty, and sometimes little things that he wished could be different came to his mind. Also one on the leader's flaws was that he could be easily offended an often too proud. His ears flattened.

She sighed, looking up at the sky to send a brief prayer to Starclan to keep her from strangling her apprentice. The seal-pointed she-cat shook her head and looked back at Vervaincloud. "So how come you haven't wanted to meet outside of the gatherings in a while?"
She laughed.

Goldenstar shook her head slightly, "Oh, no. It's quite all right. I'm just a little nervous around all these cats..." She said reassuringly. "It's very nice to meet you, Charredfern." She responded with a smile, but that seemed to be the end of the conversation as it trailed off into an awkward silence. Goldenstar looked down at her paws, but glanced up when the tom spoke. "Ah, yes it is... Have you been to a gathering like this before?" She decided to ask.

Smoketail hadn't been expecting the tom to attack him, so he was caught off guard when the other cat crashed into his side. He barely caught his balance and didn't go sprawling onto the ground, but now he was angry. His fluffy fur raised and he glared daggers at the cats who dared to make them stop. "I'll stop after I teach this piece of crowfood a lesson!" He yelled, pushing past them both and running straight towards his target. Truce or no truce, he was going to END this. Smoketail leapt for the tom, seeking to tackle him to the ground.

Honeystar winced. "Thank Starclan he lived," she said. "We had a similar situation some time ago, when Hillfang, then-Hillpaw, fought against a badger that killed some of our clanmates. She fought bravely, though, and earned her warrior name early because of it."

"Thank you," said Duckpelt. She was unsure whether Snailstep's prayer was sincere, but decided to act as though it was, as Forestclan believed a safe birth in any clan was good for them all. That meant that Starclan had not brought down their wrath upon any clan. When Snailstep continued, Duckpelt nodded sagely. "I've heard some of the newer clans doing the same thing," she said. "And I'm sure it's also a wonderful method of choosing which information gets to your clan. Although," she said thoughtfully, "it does seem as though much of the information passed around is nothing more than bragging, wouldn't you think?" she asked, looking Snailstep in the eye. She still couldn't pin down the source of her discomfort, yet it was there.

Dustleaf gave a contented hum. "I remember the anticipation," she said, "because I wasn't sure when Crowcloud would consider me 'suitable.' As it was, I earned my full name a good four or so moons after my littermates." She cocked her head. "How is life in your clan? I hope everything's well."

Adderstream chuckled. "That's...amusing," he said. "I'm sure that eventually, you'll find a clan matching the prefix of another cat. Sunsong," he said thoughtfully. "An interesting name. But," he said with a smile, "every clan has a different way of giving out names. Say, how old's your clan? Approximately," he said hurriedly. "Forestclan's getting a bit old. I think it's almost forty moons by now. And I'm almost thirty. I was part of the first litter to be born into the clan," he explained proudly.

"I'm sure," said Applenose with a soft purr of affection. He enjoyed being around all young kits, and was thoroughly enjoying being mentor to Dawnpaw. The apprentice brought out an energy and level of playfulness he hadn't felt in moons, although he of course tried to hold it back to actually teach Dawnpaw. "But that sounds like a lot of apprentices! Granted, we've had about eight at one time, which was the largest we've ever had. And we're about to have two litters of kits..."

Gingerstorm spotted a tom, who looked around her age, sitting alone. She padded up to him and smiled. "Hi," she said warmly. "My name's Gingerstorm of Forestclan. What's your name?"

"We actually might have a similar situation soon," Hillfang said, grinning. "Briarwhisker and Birchnose are expecting kits and Starclan knows how many there'll be in each litter. We've had only one or two two-kit litters...with the rest being three and four-kit litters. And," she added, "Honeystar says we might be able to move back into our camp before five seasons pass." While it seemed like an impossibly long time, the clan would be more than ready by then.
