Podzol decide to leave the place full of the other wolves' scent and decides to patrol move up more on the opposite direction. At this time of the year he doesn't want to create trouble nor for trouble to come to them !

He walks as quietly as possible, tries to snatch some little furry beasts to not get back home without anything for the pups and their mother. And after a while I takes the way home, taking his time to mark his territory and check the area.

In the safety of the den, Vērēmu takes care of their agitated newborns.

While out on patrol Podzol doesn't encounter anything else exciting. He manages to catch 2 squirrels and takes them back to his mate and pups.
The little ones squirm around a bit, but are too young to do much at this point.

Podzol often goes on patrol to be aware of their surrondings and to prevent any danger, being particularly reactive and attentive.
While his mate and their pups often rest in the den, the pups only begining to run ( with some trouble though ) around and annoy their mother.

Podzol decides to leave the den this day, as chaafti was bitting his tail playfully for the tenth time. He licks Vērēmu, goes out, and goes down to the river sides.

Podzol looks in the river and sees that it's running beautifully and there are many fish in it!

[ Pups dinner ]

Vērēmu keeps taking care of the youngsters, only taking a break when she feeds them after a swarm of cries. They all take a nap, waiting for their alpha to come back.



[ Podzol fishing time ]

Podzol walks on the sides of the river, progress to move in where the water is the less deep. He stands here and snort, then watches the river, looking for fishes to cross his path. It's a strategic spot since the fishes have to cross it to continues their way but since the water level is very low many die here or are particularly vulnerable for a moment.
This moment is quick, but enought for the wolf. As soon as a sound of a fish struggling to pass is heard he run to his spot and grabs it. But the fishes are really vigorous and their wagging often save their lives.
Moreover they are speed ! He tries to catch one but the little guy manages to get back in more water and swims at full speed ! Podzol of course tries to run after him, his muzzle down but he gets splashed by the fish who succeed is escape.

After about half an hour of fishing and a lots of fails where he got smacked by these gooey and smelly creatures, he managed to grab a small amount of them that he juges is enought ... decision increased by the coming of 2 bears. They didn't tried to harm him and were only interested in fishes, but he rathered leave after standing his grounds to show them that he wasn't backing up because of them.

[ Alphas dinner and play time ]

Podzol came back with the fishes, burying some and feeding on what he didn't buried, as well as Veremu.

The sounds of the two of them eating and the scent of the fishes wake up the pups who begin to squeak before walking - with less and less trouble each time - towards their parents.
The family plays a good amount of time, tussuling, playing gently, and end up by Kovy and Chaafti sleeping on their father and Orsola still full of life annoying her mother trying to rest near the 3 others.

[ Patrol ]

Later on the day Veremu goes out of the den to take a break, run a little, and patrol to check their territory.
She decided she wouldn't go as far as Podzol usualy go, but still patrol a big area below the moutain range.

Veremu goes patrolling and discovers another wolf's scent! Before she has time to react, the male wolf approaches her. His ears are forward, but his tail is low. Veremu can't decipher whether the wolf will attack her or not!
