Wishpaw crouched lowly to the ground, feeling the gazes of the other apprentices and mentors on her as she silently watched. A small vole munching on a few seeds near the foot of a tree, being neatly tucked away by its root. So, building up enough courage to move forward she slowly began stalking along the forest floor til, BAM! She leaped quickly and caught the unsuspecting animal in her mouth, finishing it with a quick killing bite before turning around. Holding it up high and proud to the other cats along with the hunting party. Bunnypaw and his mentor Coalfoot, Creekpaw with her mentor Icicle, and finally just Pinepaw. Both her and Pinepaw were without their mentors, important clan stuff she guessed...

Icicle perked up her scared ears, her pale blue eyes lightening up as she was impressed with the older apprentice. Turning her head down to her apprentice Creekpaw who was sitting beside her just watching Wishpaw like the others.

Having a pretty good competitive spirit Wishpaw strutted over to the three apprentices and dropped her kill in front of Bunnypaw "Lets see you beat that" she challenged, flashing him a toothy grin.

Bunnypaw huffed a bit "You really think I can't top that? I can catch a vole in my sleep."

Wishpaw wrinkled her nose, "Yeah right, with your bumbling paws you'd probably scare away over half the prey living in this forest!" she snorted in annoyance, realizing at this point that she was boasting up her rather small kill a bit too much but she had too much of her pride in paw so she'd never admit it.

Pinepaw just watched nervously, glancing over at Icicle and Coalfoot to see if they were going to do anything but the two just looked neutral as they watched. Icicle keeping a stern gaze on Wishpaw.

Coalfoot looked at the apprentices "Let's get a move on, bury that vole for later. You all need to practice." He was being friendly, but stern.

Bunnypaw huffed and nodded, getting up to leave.

Wishpaw felt her yellow gaze sweep over towards Coalfoot, shooting him a glare before she let out a small huff. Picking up the fresh Vole she had just caught and taking it between a few bushes to bury. Returning to the group a few moments later seeming just as stubborn as before. Not saying a word, just waiting for the mentors' instructions.

Once the group had gathered Icicle rose to her paws and twitched her tail over to Coalfoot and the apprentices, beconing them to follow as she began leading them towards the waterfall. Maybe they could catch some scavenging animals looking for something to drink. Well, she was hoping at least. Unsure about catching anything there at this time of day. Although the frosty white she-cat never let that confident, almost intimidating look break her gaze.

Pinepaw just followed behind slowly, watching his paws carefully as he followed closely behind his mother.

"Mom where are we going?" Bunnypaw asked in a small whisper, he still was unfamiliar with the territory.

Coalfoot answered instead "We are going to the waterfall. There are usually plenty of prey around there."

Icicle's tail just twitched at Coalfoot's reply, nodding her head silently in agreement with Coalfoot. Then after a little while of walking they were there near the foot of the waterfall, making the she-cat pause and turn around to the others, "We can fan out here", She meowed quickly, perking herself up to see which ways each cat was gonna head out before she did herself.

Wishpaw perked her tail up and made her way down the rocky slope beside the foot of the waterfall, making her way down the hill towards the small pool of water.

Pinepaw just stood there awkwardly and started slowly sidestepping towards the main waterfall, looking like he was going to head up the steep pile of rocks to get somewhere at the top. Trying his best to stay out of the view of the others.
