Second Chance Shelter is a dog and cat rescue where you can come to find a new member of your family. We rescue and rehabilitate dogs and cats of all shapes and sizes so they may have the chance to be placed into a caring home. All of our animals are special and deserve a chance to be happy with an owner that will care for them. The question is: are you ready to love them?

Welcome to the Second Chance Shelter Kennel Club and Cat Fanciers Association branch! Here you can officially register your kennel or cattery for use in SCS. You do not have to have a purebred in order to own a kennel, so do not worry if you own a mixed breed, domestic cat, or a mutt! By registering you get rewards and special opportunities, as well as a kennel prefix only you can use for your animals, so do be sure to register today!

Please make sure you have at least one SCS adopt before registering your kennel or cattery. Once you have gotten your first SCS adopt, feel free to start working away on your kennel/cattery and post on a form on this thread to officially register your kennel or cattery! If you have any questions about the AKC and CFA, please do not hesitate to contact me or anyone on the SCS staff!

Below is a list of all the registered Kennel Clubs with SCS, along with who owns them and the prefix. By registering your kennel, you get 50 credits and the ability to participate in competitions with SCS! Just make sure to remember a couple of guidelines before registering your kennel:


• Please only register your kennel if you own at least 1 SCS canine adopt
• Kennels do not need to be SCS specific, but to register you must have one SCS pet in the kennel
• Each kennel prefix must be unique to each user/kennel. You may not share a prefix with another user unless you are doing a joint kennel, in which permission from all parties involved must be shown
• You may have your kennel and cattery be one establishment, just be sure to register it as both a kennel and cattery

In order to register your kennel, please fill out the form correctly and post it below. For any changes, fill out a new form.
