an irrational fear of rain.

I feel if anything, Kip is afraid of what rain brings with it. The ominous sound of it tapping roof tops. The way it brings thunder and lightening, the monstrous sound as they crack the very sky. He hates the way it leaves a sticky feeling on your skin, it's very smell. Everything about it sends a chill down his spine, rain and all its traits.

Not even the glow in the dark stickers on his ceiling could calm the anxious feeling he got every time he climbed into bed. It seemed to be something Oliver would never get over. 'only babies are afraid of the dark' he would tell himself in an attempt to get rid of his fear. None of it worked. At least twice a week his mother's Melody and Lillith would find him curled into a ball face down in his pillow crying about this fear. They'd try everything but none of it ever seemed to work.

Glow in the dark stickers -- Never calmed him. His mind always seemed to play tricks on him with those.
Night lights -- The shadows that were cast around his room really didn't help him sleep.
Music -- Did the opposite of calming him. Just made him more anxious.

The poor fellow barely got any sleep because of this. He'd always arrive in class half asleep, and Oliver practically lived off of coffee. As soon as night time began to settle in he grew incredibly anxious and would lock himself in his room. Maybe, just maybe one day he would find a way to deal with this...
