Otterstar was shocked. Yes, there were only 5 other cats in her clan, but the fact that the majority of them believed her to be the killer stung. She couldn't believe that they believed she could've murdered her mother, and allowed her mate to be exiled..
she sat for a long time alone in her den after hearing the votes, contemplating what to do. She hadn't yet announced that the majority vote was her.
The sun was beginning to set as she trekked out into the snow. Her clanmates turned to her, their eyes wide and their tails lashing- as they had waited for her return for too long. She sat down, the cold snow making her shiver. Her eyes seemed glazed over, foggy with sadness. She looked upon her clan, the clan she had lead through these troubles.. and she came to the realization that she failed them. If she had protected her clan, then maybe they would not be at this point. Riverclan is so close to extinction, and the paranoia has flooded the waters. The flames of betrayal stung and burned, and she shut her eyes.
"I am not the killer. I have never been, nor will I ever be, a killer. I have done my best to protect this clan, to save this clan from the horrors it has faced.." she paused, opening her stark green eyes to face her accusers. "I know that among the souls that stand before me, one may never join in the hunts of Starclan."
A burning gaze met hers, their ferocity apparent in the way their fur bristled. But no one but Otterstar noticed.
"I have decided to leave, due to the fact that no one wants me here." She stood up a bit taller, her tail flicking with the facade of anger. In truth, the emptiness she felt was vast. "Even if you did not believe me to be the killer, it is apparent that I was not enough for this clan. Therefore I am leaving and never returning. I hope Newtnose- Newtstar, will be a better leader to your liking."
And with that, she left. The clan was left in shock at their Leader's angered response, but they were also left paranoid. If their leader was not the killer, then who was?
Otterstar, now going by Otter, regained her life in the barn. She had found her mate, Blastclaws, who was now going by Claw, and they soon had another litter of kits.
Newtstar gains her nine lives and names Palesnow as the new deputy, as he has been a warrior the longest.
You have lost your leader Riverclan! Will you be able to exile the killer, or will they get away...

It was dawn, and light had begun to filter into the nursery. Windsong awoke as she felt the warmth of the sun reach her pelt. Her entire body ached, and she felt the kick of kits. A smile rose to her face, a purr in her throat. The presence of a cat shadowing the warmth made Windsong perk her ears. As she took in their scent, she slightly relaxed.
"Oh, hello." She mewed, her tail wrapping around herself.
"Hello." the cat's mew was kind, yet their tail begun to curl, which was unknown to the blind queen. They walked forward, crouching in front of Windsong. "How are the kits?" They whispered, their eyes glancing to Windsong's belly with.. disgust.
Windsong smiled warmly, purring as she spoke. "They are well! I believe they are going to come soon."
The cat stretched their claws, their fur beginning to tingle and rise on their back. A curt smile arose on their face, and their ear flicked as they sat tall beside the queen.
"Who's the father?" Their question was snarky, almost mocking in tone. Windsong's breath caught in her throat, and she begun to stammer over her words. "I know he isn't in the clan. How could he be?" Their eyes began to glow deviously.
Windsong's head fell in apology, her heart beginning to race.
"Don't worry Windsong," their voice returned to it's average kindness, "We can sort it out. Walk with me?"
Windsong agreed without hesitation, following the cat out of the camp.
The snow was beginning to already melt in the warm sun, and the cat took in a deep breath. They led Windsong quietly through the forest, humming quietly to them-self. Windsong walked behind them, her heart caught in her throat.
Eventually the cat stopped and turned to the queen, a smile across their face. "Wait here."
Windsong waited in confusion, listening to the cats paw steps as they trekked further and further away. The scents around her were unfamiliar, and Windsong couldn't help but smell a scent that reminded her of..
Dog.
She then heard the scratching of a tree, and a hiss. She looked in the direction of the hiss, and it happened to be in the direction the cat had left. From a high branch of the tree, the murderer smirked down at the new prey.
Heavy paw steps and the snapping of twigs was the last thing Windsong heard before she began to run. And she ran, and ran, and ran.. and tripped.
She fell hard on her side, and she was gasping for air. She could feel her whole body begin to ache, her kits kicking hard. Was the stress forcing her to give birth? No, not here. Not here. She stood quickly, but was brought down by sharp teeth.
She screamed, but her screams were covered by the sound of a dogs bark.
The murderer watched from a distance, waiting for the dog to leave. As he did, they jumped down and walked to where Windsong lay.
A quiet mew could be heard from the destruction. The cat turned their head, their eyes squinting in confusion. As they walked forward, a small bundle of white fur, now red, lay beside Windsong's body. The murderers eyes grew wide, and their heart began to beat fast.
The murderer carefully picked up the kit, moving towards the nearest border. The sound of an approaching border patrol could be heard, and the murderer placed the small kit on the border. They then ran, returning to camp before anyone could wake up.
You have lost an innocent queen! Will you be able to catch the one who has done this?
