Whoa now. Your benevolent club founder(that's me) is a big fan of that ship. Here, some justification, or just what I see and you don't:
They are most definitely not ready to be in a relationship now. Kacchan has a lot of growing up and cooling off to do before that. But, Deku wants to have at least a friendship with him. He misses what they had as little kids, before Quirks and crap got in the way. Yes, they fight. Uselessly, endlessly, because Bakugo is a combative and angry dude who has a serious issue with Midoriya being capable of competing with him now. My friend and I have discussed and conferred on why he is this way. He's used to being the best, unquestioned. But at UA he's in an environment where other people are as good or almost as good as him. He feels threatened by this. He is on edge. Before real progress can be made he needs to realize that he doesn't have to always be the best. Accepting Deku as an equal, properly, would be a really huge step in the right direction for him, ship or not. Most people agree they should be friends. I don't see Katzuku(my name for the pairing) happening anytime before their Second year, to be honest, because you're right. They'd murder each other. Some serious, major things have to change before they can get anywhere close to having a relationship. But I think they're capable of it at least. And I think they fit. I get that a lot of people just see a hateful sort of thing between them. I get that, like I get that Deku telling Todoroki that his power is his own makes you guys see love where I see none. You can think what you want, I'll do my best to see where you're coming from. But don't hate my pairing. Don't hate anyone's pairing. If you do, don't say so. It doesn't help anyone.

Oh god text wall. I'm sorry, I get touchy. There was no BakuDeku art at FanExpo this year, so I've been feeling it. Um, just the last statement again, don't say you hate anything please. Especially shippings, how we perceive interpersonal relationships of the characters is different for everyone and no one is wrong.

Oh geez now I'm sorry. I tend to type a lot when it's something like this. It comes down to the fact that you used the word hate. I'm not the type to feel personally attacked or be emotionally hurt by something like this so don't worry about it. But gosh, after I posted that I was worried it might not go over well. I try to seem friendly and amenable but I get carried away.
