@deimos, I was going to make Dust super cocky and a total showoff, but then I found out he was kind of cowardly and his foster mom loathed him. His character will be fun to mess around with and mold. I haven't decided where my tribe will live yet, or what all their customs will be, but I can already see the drama surrounding kits that don't fit the tribe's standards haha

@sushinekko, It's been a while since I last read the books. The last one I read was actually the very first one again and I'm still laughing over all the terms they used (and then later dropped). I liked the start of the New Prophecy series. There were a lot of things that bugged me about it (like Crowpaw and Feathertail's relationship among other things), but because there were really only six cats to focus on, you got to see a lot of character development in them. The introduction of the tribe was also a fun change from the clans the reader was used to. Once magical/powerful cats and the Dark Forest cats were introduced, however, I started losing interest. So, I haven't actually finished the entire Warriors series.

@general, I'm putting up a clip of my post to try and get some feedback. For those of you who have read my posts, is Pebblevine's behavior still in line with what I've wrote of her so far? Or does she sound too aggressive? Also, the "trio" is in reference to my newest cats: Cormorantbark, Tarpaw and Orchidpaw.

The snarling screech that met Coyotestar’s return was to be expected. The claws digging into his flank until he bled and the fangs poised at his throat, however, were not. He toppled to the ground, gritting his teeth as the claws pulled at his flesh.
“That’s it! I’ve had enough!” Pebblevine growled, and the tom could feel her words vibrating against his neck, “I let you stay for far too long. You should have left moons ago!!” The molly screeched, her fur bunching up in thick waves to enlarge her silhouette. She didn’t move her maw from Coyotestar’s throat as she addressed the trio behind him. While he knew the words weren’t for him, Coyotestar could still feel the threat in every movement of her jaw, teeth pressing repetitively into his skin, “And you. You don’t belong here. You’re all like flies to a carcass. I don’t know what you think is here, but I won’t stand for it anymore. Get out.”

With the recent activity check there have been a few clans that are leaving and giving up their cats for adoption! I like organization and list making so I have volunteered to keep a nice list for the available cats. The only rule is that you can have 2 cats. It is a first come thing so who ever posts first gets the cats. You can change the names unless it is said otherwise.

Sorry, had to work today. A co-worker got sick and I had to fill in but I am off now. More cats to come though!

My favorite is the first one, although I really liked Dawn of the Clans. I also really liked the super editions and whatever the little books about a specific cat but that aren't super editions are called (the one about Mapleshade and Tigerstar and whomever), except I really didn't like Tallstar's book. The magical power things kind of annoyed me, and the newest series is kind of meh in my opinion. It seems to just be going all over the place.

the sun slowly rises, the first rays of dawn peaking into the clans dens, casting an orange highlight against the dark green and brown of the large willow trees that made up creamclan.

the king of creamclan, featherstar, rises up and out of his den to meet hailbreeze, who was already busy watching a white tom with black markings.

featherstar trots up to hailbreeze to ask who this cat is, and what theyre currently doing here, but hailbreeze cuts him off before he can say anything.

“this cat is nuts, theyve already made one of the dens their own- as if hes moving in,” the she-cat looks towards featherstar with a look of concern and worry.

“maybe he wants to help out or something?” featherstar suggests, looking at the intruder that was currently searching for...cobwebs? “or, maybe your right. maybe he is insane.”
hailbreeze steps out towards the intruder to chase them away, when suddenly the intruder turns to speak to them.

“you arent gonna chase me off, are you?” the intruder asks, before continuing with “im milquetoast, and your clan wont survive much without a shaman, and thats why im here,” he explains, and proceeds to search for more cobwebs.

aaaand i kinda sorta redid this half of my post but i still dont like it lol! kinda worried i still made things drag a bit, i feel like my writing style isnt the best but then again the only one who knows it well enough is me and im... not the best critic when it comes to my own things LMAO

    "A new warrior walks among PineClan today; from this day onward this young tom will be hailed as Firestream, for his adept swimming prowess and overall love for the water." Mintstar announced, an inaudible purr leaving her throat as the Clan chanted Firestream's name while the ginger tabby stared at the crowd around him with unbridled ecstasy. Laughing gleefully to himself, Firestream could barely listen to Mintstar finish the ceremony and was only aware it had ended once he witnessed the crowd begin to break away. He barely had time to move before his mother barrelled into him, covering his face with a barrage of licks and muzzles while he took it all in stride.

    Daisystorm pulled away once she realized her affection was getting a tad excessive, the wide grin she wore on her muzzle faded into a soft smile as both she and Firestream grew quiet. "I'm so proud of you," The molly mewed genuinely, eyes locked on her only son while Firestream's own forest-green hues focused on her as well. Overcome by emotion, Daisystorm felt her eyes begin to water with unshed tears all while the tom stared on helplessly, his own eyes welling up. "M-mama? Are you okay?" He inquired, wishing he could do anything to help her feel better.

    It might have been seen as an odd sight, two grown cats suddenly tearing up out of nowhere, but it was a common occurrence between the pair; stemming from the close bond they forged long before the two of them found PineClan. It had been moons of heartbreak after heartbreak before either of them would find any semblance of peace in their lives, and as the rest of their family perished right before their eyes they understood that they would only ever have each other. With that in mind, they became in tune with each other's emotions and whatever one felt, the other would react the same regardless of their own feelings.

    "I'm fine, I-It's just..." Daisystorm let out a shuddered breath, her voice cracking as the first tear fell. "Y-You made it... out of everyone, you're h-here." She stopped herself from speaking there, but nothing could stop her tears as she held Firestream close to her and unceasingly sobbed into his fur. Firestream felt his claws dig into the earth in a desperate battle against his own tears, his body trembling with the effort to look strong until a sudden memory of the cats he lost flashed through his mind. At that, not even the cheerful tabby could stop himself from weeping alongside his mother.
