Your dog is originally a VR 2008, but its re-release which doesn't put the value down but can make the dog harder to trade away as people usually want true dates. a 08' VR usually goes fair for 2 08' Rares which is why I think the other person is undertrading. Though I haven't added the demand of the pets.
