She winced as a loud crash echoed through the empty corridor as she accidentally dropped her trumpet. She shook her head and picked it up. She continued to walk.
"Hey come on, at lease try to catch up!" She called behind her to twin sister who was apparently a very slow walker. She scanned the walls looking for the dorm room she was in. She walked some more and stopped in front of a bulletin board. She read all the posts for joinable clubs and dorm parties, waiting for her sister to catch up. When she finally did, they continued down the hall.
"Here I am, dorm one. Bye Rye, hope you have a good time. I'll stop by later today." She said as she walked in the dorm and closed the door on her sister. The room was without people and the furniture was bland. It had two bunk beds and a worn couch that she presumed was a pull-out. There were empty book shelved, desks and two large closets. She threw her bags on a top bunk and waited for someone to come. She started dozing of when the door creaked open and a girl stepped through. She jumped up,
Hi! Uh, welcome! My name's Kya." She said over enthusiastically.
"Ky-" Her comment to her sister was cut of by the abrupt slamming of dorm one's door. She sighed and shrugged it off. Ryan's boots clicked through the empty corridors as she struggled to find her way. Her camera bounced on her chest as she rolled her suitcase behind her. She rounded a corner and there it was, her dorm. Ryan almost ran to it but decided not to. She approached the door and turned the doorknob but it wouldn't budge. She frowned and tried again. No movement. On the third try, the door swung open but now by Ryan, by a girl on the other end. She flew forward and landed on her camera with a sickening crunch.

Isreial flopped down on his bottom bunk. Relived after unpacking all his clothes. He looked around, it was a nice and spacious room. He got up and set up some canvases to paint on later. He was the first one to arrive because his mother drove him extra early. He spread out on his bed, the sheets were pulled up and lain messily across the foot of the bed.
He was bored, so he took a walk down the hall with his sketchbook in hand. The halls were grand, well the whole school was massive and Isreial loved it. Faintly, from across the hall he could hear singing so he followed the voice. He'd come to the music room and there was a girl singing a cover. He stopped to listen. He tried to make out her face, his lazy eye twitched from straining in the dark room.
"Hello?" The girl said, she looked startled.
H-hi, Sorry to s-startle you. I just h-heard you s-singing. I'm I-isreial. He held out his hand. He hated his stutter and hoped the girl didn't think he was a dweeb.
