Cloudyspots caught a scent that appeared to be familiar. Her tail flicked side to side confidently, and she approached the scent. "Hello?" She said, paws tingling nervously. Or would this just be a random enemy warrior? She remembered something about medicine cats being really respected due to their relationship to the stars, and she tried to reassure herself with this.

Velvetflicker grinned, "Yea, they're all nice as far as I can tell. I haven't talked to the new warrior yet, but she seems sweet." Maplestrike and I talk a lot, he's our deputy. What about you? Do you have any close friends in your clan? Or is everyone scared of the big, bad medicine cat?" she teased, smiling.

Velvetflicker cocked her head briefly, "Smokeypaw? Is that your apprentice?" she asked. "And mostly I just chat with my classmates. Sweetstar and Maplestrike both have very interesting pasts and know all sorts of cool things."

"His, actually." Velvetflicker corrected, gently, "He was a kitty pet until he was about nine moons old, then he escaped and joined this band of loners whose only goal was to train young cats like him to defend themselves. He stayed with them for ten moons, and then was a loner until StarClan told him to start a clan. He has all sorts of cool stories about then adventures he had while with the band and while on his own."

"He really is." Velvetflicker agreed, smiling. "I am so glad I'm not the only cat who does that. We don't have many trees on our territory, but I like to track them down and crunch the leaves. I'm always disappointed when it rains, because that means all the leaves are ruined." she confessed.

Velvetflicker just laughed, twitching an ear, "You're fine." she assured him, "No damage done. I wish that someone in my clan liked leaves. It seems that Maplestrike and Sweetstar just find them annoying."

She nodded, somewhat relieved that Orchidnose did not think ill of her need to be away from her mentor for a short while. While Smallkit and Smallpaw had admired Stonenose, Smallwhisker was starting to question his timidity and wondering if he were really just a coward; just as a cheeky Ternpaw had whispered into her ear all those moons ago. Ears pricked at the mention of a grumpy soul, Smallwhisker smiled faintly. ''Sounds like a right character; Stonenose is a timid fellow, probably would jump out of his skin if he ever met Weaselstorm if he's as prickly as you say.'' She joked.
