Newtnose seated herself beside the grieving cats, her posture slumped numbly. Her head lifts slightly to acknowledge Blastclaws as he approached. Seeing as neither Firefeather nor Acornfoot were in the state to break the depressing news to him, she answered the deputy with a grim reply.
"Doveheart and Oatkit are dead - Murdered."

The leader woke up from her den and stretched. the she-cat let out a yawn and padded out of the leader's den, she noticed cats gathering around the nursery, "What happen-" she was cut off when she saw her nephew and his mother dead and heard newtnose, "Their dead?!" she meowed surprised

The elderly she-cat woke up to the yowls of her clanmates. Can't a cat sleep peacefully around here? She asked herself as she rose to her paws and slowly walked over towards the group. "What happe-" The tabby was then cut off as she heard what Newtnose said. "No....please...no...." The old warrior-queen then started to shake as she pawed forwards and let out a yowl of grief at the sight before her. "How? Who could do this?"
