Nightmares. They exist since our youngest years. We fear them, yet we do not know what they really are. Nightmares are evil spirits which haunt everyone's mind and feed on our happiness and our dreams.
Far away in space, a spirit and a princess search for a human capable of possessing the Butterfly Cluster and stopping the Nightmares. The Princess in question will assign a constellation to a human or an alien capable of possessing such power to fight the Nightmares.

her people formed a religion around the constellations in the skies, and used magic based off those constellations.
sadly, one day, avalor was invaded and many perished in the process--whether the royal family also perished is still
unknown--but the twelve-year-old princess managed to flee to an observatory built on an asteroid orbiting avalor.
she had been alone for a few months before meeting kibo, and had vowed to herself since then that she would stop
the evil forces that destroyed her home planet--seeking out help from other planets to achieve her goal.

Gender: Female Pronouns, but "it" is more appropriate because she isn't truly a living thing.
Race (human or alien): Humanoid Nightmare
Age: 15
Power: She can summon thick, black clouds that make enemies stop and cough for a moment, as well as giving her a window to escape. When she uses her weapon, it's easy for her to make obstacles by distorting the shape of the ground.
Weapon: A lavender mace with simple, black handle
Brief Appearance: It appears to be a cutesy, pale chibi girl with long purple hair tied into twintails, grey eyes, thick white scrunchies, and a frilly grey and black dress complemented by her classic Mary Jane shoes.
Personality: While first appearing like a flat, simplistic nightmare, this "thing" really just wants to be a true human, deep down; and act like a normal person. That's the cover story at least. It will always refer to itself as "she," though this doesn't really matter. She will not hesitate to attack anyone but sometimes it chooses to develop an attachment a random person, giving her some emotional weaknesses.
Happiness it feeds on: Childhood Innocence
History: It's first appearance was 15 years ago, but the manifestation itself resembles that of an 8 year old from now until the end of time. It jumps from child to child, befriending them as part of its attack. It's unclear how she was created, but judging by the emotions it displays, it was a mistake. She's used to pretending that she's a prodigy, and hops between families every few years to avoid being found out.
Sexuality: Asexual

Style: Fashioned in a chibi style, this nightmare attacks by earning a child's trust and love, and then putting the child in a situation where they have to save it. Of course, the system is rigged so that it's impossible for the child to win, so they're stuck trying to save their new friend until they wake up.

Brief Appearance (if no picture): Leïa has long, straight auburn hair that she usually keeps in a low ponytail. Her eyes change color depending on her mood or the weather: sometimes green, blue or grey. She is rather tall, thin, and has a pale skin.
Personality: Leïa might come off as cold and stuck-up when you first meet her: it is true she doesn’t always talk, and that she hates foolish people. She is also quite responsible. But if you get to know her, you will understand that in fact, she is a very loving person who would do anything she can to help the people she cares about.
Familiar: A falcon named Iatro
Weakness/Fear: Leïa, despite appearances, is terrified of losing those she cares about. (thanatophobia)
