I think adding rarities may or may not be a brilliant idea. - All of the adoptable / click-sites I've been on
all have rarities... Pets / Clickable-Pets are rare depending on when they were released, if they're hard to get
or not many of them were released. - So I think over the years then rares would be more important.
( As every event CS releases rare pets so over the years they get more wanted / demanded, and it surely
has worked! especially the staff-pets & store-pets, solely because you cant purchase / get them anymore.

@vanishing pixie yes, but it would also be wise not to have a “Rares List” in the future, as we’ve seen it’s evtremely difficult to maintain.

Also, are customs up for debate? Not ones where you don’t have to breed pets to get what you want or anything, but customs kind of like on here and Eldemore.

I didn't think we talked about customs much but I think it would be a lot of work to maintain it as a large part of the site. They could be extreme luxury items, or bestowed in special events. :P

Rare pets is going to be an eventuality whether we affect the outcome or not, but I think something like a rares list or a "rarity meter" like we have here isn't going to work well. User demand and available supply will create rarity, and though I think it's a good idea to have "special" pets that are harder to get or whatever, too strong an influence seems like it'd just muck things up.

I'm really tired right now, so sorry if I start ranting.

So I've seen a lot of people talking about rarities and rare pets so far. I agree with CollectorsEdition about the rares list (If we do add rarities) they are extremely hard to maintain. Also -- like the advent/September lists on CS -- they are hard to memorize and confusing to newbies. (I still have no idea about the lists of rares here on CS, and I've been here for almost 4 years)
I also agree with armadillosushi about user demand and supply.

@the mascot idea: Shan and I are both creating mascots to represent the site as a whole! I have my outlines finalized, but Shan currently is in the process of making hers. As soon as hers is finished, I will post them both on the front page!

Side note on the mascot idea, Shan and I are both in debate on letting staff members have their own mascots as well. With these mascots, they help run certain areas around the site - in replacement of humanoid NPC’s! However, these mascots would need to be created, not be common animals, and be able to fit into the overall arching lore of the site!

Ok so what if you give them to your staff when they prove their loyalty and stuff as a sort of "you have my trust" thing to signify they have proven themselves. I think that would be neat.

I mean, I personally can't do lines but whatever, I still love the idea.
I also like Honor's idea about the trust thing, but that's up to Fallen and Shan.
