Breezefire padded out of her den. her fur was still matted with the tears from her lost clanmate. "Morning Pumpkinpaw and Dewpaw." she mewed. "Yes, I do believe that Iceyeyes is in Starclan." she said, tears coming to her eyes once more. "May he peacefully be looking down on us." she said.

FireFeather woke up to the sound of his voice. He had been just barely stirring beforehand, so his name was like a call to legitimately wake up.
"Hm?" He turned and looked at the source of the voice, finding his apprentice and suddenly recognizing his voice. "Hello there. I see you're looking for some early training?"
He stood up with a stretch and looked around at the den, looking to see who else was asleep. Then he saw an empty, but somewhat fresh nest, and his eyes almost seemed to have gone blank. No wonder.
"Well, to be honest, perhaps we should do some hunting. One less warrior to help feed our Clan, and we shouldn't..." he paused to take a deep breath. "We shouldn't slack."
He felt the empty pit of his fallen Clanmate, but at the same time, he tried not to let it show too much externally.
"Are you okay though? I don't know if you've actually witnessed a Clanmate go to StarClan yet..."

Blizzardstar was still shaken up after being the first to find Iceeyes dead body. A shiver went down her back as she stayed in her den just peering out of camp to see what was going on.

Lavenderleaf awoke in her den feeling shaky and alone. The death of Iceyeyes had put a damper on her usually cheerful attitude. Her little bubble of happiness had been popped by none other than the cold pointed needle of reality. Regardless she still refused to believe that a clan mate could kill one of their own. Seeking comfort and without her apprentice in the den with her Lavenderleaf found herself crawling into her sisters den instead. "B-blizzardstar, she whimpered.

Blizzardstar lifted her head as she watched her sister enter the den. "Oh... Hello Lavenderleaf." She had before putting her head, back down onto her paws. Her head was pounding and her heart was racing. Blizzardstar was in a big shock and couldn't believe that Iceyeyes was even dead. "You can stay with me if you would like." She murmured.

Ebonypaw looked down at his paws, the empty feeling in his chest growing more vast. "I haven't.." He looked upwards, as if signalling to Starclan. "But I hope her path was lit by the light of Starclan." He felt his tail droop, and his paws began to shake. He felt comfortable showing his emotions to his mentor, who was his closest friend. He let out a short sigh and murmured in agreement.
"I'd like to practice hunting. As you said, I think the clan needs everything it can get." He looked up at his mentor, trying to smile. The thought of making Firefeather proud made him feel happier.

Dewpaw looked away. How could any cat be so sure? "It's just..Do you think.." She trailed off again, but she had to ask someone. "Breezefire, was Iceeyes killed by a cat?" She asked. She stared into the warrior's eyes looking for an answer.

Breezefire looked at Dewpaw in surprise. "I didn't think of it, but you might be right." she said. "But... I don't see why anyone would want to kill an elder though, Dewpaw." she meowed, frowning a little.

Dewpaw frowned back at her sadly. "The bitemarks.." She trailed off, not wanting to picture it again. "Nevermind." She said. Breezefire was right. Why would anyone want to kill an innocent elder? The idea itself, of a rouge or cat of another clan sneaking in to kill a cat, an elder of all ranks, was in itself ridiculous. But still, something nagged at the back of her mind.
