Pigeoncloud blinked. "I think so? It hurts a bit, but it's not too bad. Do I just need rest?" He asked. Most cats assumed that, because getting some sleep just seemed to make things better. But, it might be bad for his health and he didn't want to risk anything. Pigeoncloud was kind of glad Pinetail didn't seem to hate him, but he might just be doing his job. After all, not liking a cat is no reason to refuse helping them when their life might be on the line.

Hollyheart frowned. At that moment she regretted her decision to become a medicine cat. She could have had Robinpaw love her too, she could have become mates with him, she could have had kits... No, being a medicine cat was her destiny. She couldn't deny that. Nothing was worth giving up her role as the healer of her clan. Not even Robinpaw. However, she still liked him a lot, even if he wouldn't feel the same way. "Yeah, we make a great team!" She purred, looking into her eyes. "Well, too bad you couldn't become a medicine cat. We could have gathered herbs or healed cats together!" She chuckled, padding slowly towards camp. "Actually, you could come herb collecting with me later today, or tomorrow. We really need a lot. I have no idea how we'll feed Jaggedbreeze for the next few moons, we'll run out of honey eventually." She said. She blinked. It was true, there wasn't an infinite supply of honey. They could run out and have no way to feed the warrior. Hollyheart looked at the ground unhappily. Jaggedbreeze needed a lot of energy to recover properly, but how could she if she couldn't eat anything but honey and herbs?

"I'll come. I too need to see what happened with the hawk." Bluegaze meowed before following the leader. The deputy entered the den before his eyes widened seeing the damage and how many cats were there. Clearly something bad happened. Maybe that hawk was more stronger than they thought?

She couldn't complain now. This was an order from the leader. Paleface nodded before she padded off after the senior male with a soft sigh. "You were really determined to get me out of camp huh?" She asked Hazelstrike with a soft chuckle.

"A uh um... o-okay." He stuttered before getting back to his competitive self. The tom crouched over the water and started to watch the first. He assumed that they had to be close to him for him to catch but... how was he supposed to catch them?

The tom shook his head no before a few seconds later let go but raced many steps backwards and sat down. It just felt wrong suddently. The tom would let his guard down.

Aridstar had a relieved look on her face when they both consented without complaining. She watched the two leave. Maybe I should go back to the medicine cats den? She looked in the direction of the den before nodding. No, I will just be an annoyance to everyone in there.

Jaggedbreeze saw Hazestrike and Paleface appear from behind a bush. She nodded a hello to them both. She could sense Hazestrike staring a bit at her face, but she payed no attention. After a moment Hazestrike came over to her and teased her about her jaw. She rolled her eyes and continued walking.

Owleyes sat across from her "I'm here to listen if you want to get anything out of your system." He paused for a few moments and added on to make her feel less pressured, "If you would prefer not to, I can leave." He gave a slight smile and awaited her response. I-It's possible its about my relationship with Littlesprout... They never seem to get along. As soon as Littlesprout and I rubbed pelts, Shadewing suddenly seemed to lose energy and be like this.

Flame heaved himself off the rock after a long period of time. He yawned, opening his jaws as wide as he could. Flame looked around he marsh to make sure the coast was clear. He bounded for the forest, hoping a clan cat wouldn't spot him. Flame had reached the forest but trekked onward. He kept going until he reached a den than dipped a bit into the ground and had ivy camouflaging the entrance. Flame slid into it and his paws landed on cool stone. The bottom of the den was stone and the back wall was covered in stacked stones. There was obviously something behind them but it was not a one-cat job to be able to destroy the wall, so he payed no attention to it. Flame sat down and began licking his ruffled pelt.

Hazestrike began following the scent trail. He meowed, "Well, I can't just let you sleep all day."
Hazestrike padded on for a bit longer which felt like forever. He swerved around a bush to see Thorntail and Jaggedbreeze. "Hey you both! I'm glad we found you" he meowed, his eyes darting to Jaggebreeze's crooked jaw. Ouch. Since Hazestrike was always acting like a father to the clan, making sure everyone was okay and protecting every cat if possible, he darted over to Jaggedbreeze. "What happened? It looks like a twoleg kit ripped off your jaw and stuck it back on" he teased, but was hopeful that didn't sound rude to her at all. He was really worried for her, but there wasn't much he could do except beg the medicine cat to fix her. He turned his head to Paleface, "You can help Thorntail with the hawk." He padded after Jaggedbreeze, staying close to her side in case she needed help.

Sudden anger swept through Shadewing, and she didn't know why. "You want the truth?" She hissed, rounding on him. "It's because of you. Every day, I have to see you prancing around with that stuck up.. mousebrain, right in front of my face." It was the first time Shadewing had ever come close to swearing. "I've always been here, Owleyes. Right from the start. I've always cared about you, but you... you go off with that prissy drypaw and act like nothing's wrong with me. Like you're not hurting me."

Owleyes flinched at her anger, not expecting this after he acted so calmly with her. I knew it. He had just realized truly what Shadewing was feeling. He flattened his ears and looked away, sadness showing in his eyes. I mean, its not my fault you're jealous. He was almost ready to argue back about how she insulted Littlesprout but he bit on his tongue. He thought about what to say but could only whisper out, "I-I see, I'm sorry... But you must understand I do care about you as well, I just never noticed how much you were being hurt by my actions. But I love Littlesprout, I can't just leave her to be with you all the time."

Owleyes left without saying a word. He wanted to leave her so she could get sleep instead of arguing with her more. Owleyes noticed the camp was completely empty except for a couple cats. Wow, a lot of cats are gone and its almost sun-down. He padded over to Littlesprout, "Sorry about that, just checking up on Shadewing." He bit his tongue as he lied, "Shes fine, she just wanted a bit of extra rest for our arranged mate ceremony." It was then it hit him, that was tomorrow.It crept up so fast!

The tom was relieved when he saw the two, hoping one of them could help him carry the heavy hawk. "Hey...." He felt tired after dragging the big bird on his back for so long. Even his shoulders felt they were starting to cramp up from being tensed for so long. As Hazestrike went to help Jaggedbreeze, he turned his gaze on Paleface. "You don't need to help me carry this big bird." She wasn't built like him and didn't want to see her struggle to carry it as well. "But I wouldn't mind if you wanted to walk next to me."

Pinetail

Hearing that, he figured it was best to not let him fall asleep. Sighing, he left his herbs and went over to the tom. He carefully stepped into the nest before lying down next to him so his side touched the others back. "I can't let you sleep yet if you hit your head so I have to make sure you stay awake. Why don't you tell me about the hawk attack." He figured having Pigeoncloud tell a story might keep him awake. He needed to wait for Jaggedbreeze to return so he could treat her jaw.

Robinpaw

The tom wrinkled his nose slightly at that,"No thank you. No offense but I don't really care for the smell of herbs all day. I prefer hunting and fighting over that stuff. But you are really good at it! I would most likely just make things worse if I tried to do what you do." As she mentioned Jaggedbreeze, he lightly nudged her side with his head. "It'll be fine! You and Pinetail will figure something out and she's tough! She did go back to fighting after she fell out of the tree. I bet she will bounce back quickly."

Manglepaw
Apprentice/She-cat/8 moons/Crush:Starting to like Viperpaw/Tags:Viperpaw

Watching the water, she saw a flash of silver and she reacted. However, instead of scooping it out like most cats, she dove in paws first into the water. As she landed, her paws grasped at the fish but she couldn't quite get a hold on the slippery scales. "Come on!" She began to splash about in the water, fighting to get a hold of it and to stop it from wriggling around.

Rather ruffled from their scuffle, she shook her white fur and felt some blood drip down her shoulder. She let out another growl but felt confused when he sat down. "Look.....I don't want to keep fighting but you can't be here. This is clan territory and we can't accommodate any cat that wanders onto our territory. We have cats of our own to feed."

"Alright..." Pigeoncloud replied. He blinked, remembering the dream he had had before Pinetail had come back. He forced the thought to the the back of his mind and began speaking. "Well, I was hunting but I wasn't really focused. I saw something through some bushes so I attacked it... But it... It was the hawk..." He murmured, feeling tired. The story felt like a nursery tale that had been told so many times no-one really liked it anymore. "And, well, it's a hawk, so it threw me away and I hit the ground and I guess that broke my leg." He continued. He frowned. It didn't sound very heroic at all. Well, of course it didn't, he wasn't the hero. He had tried to make Robinpaw fight, though... Pigeoncloud didn't realize what a coward he was before now. Or how selfish he was. He sighed. "And then Jaggedbreeze broke her jaw, but she had to help Thorntail kill the hawk, so she did..." He said flatly. He looked down at his paws. Jaggedbreeze had done that. She broke her jaw, which must have been so painful, and yet she kept fighting. She was probably walking back to camp now, in such pain... But she'd be walking. Walking even though she had probably just had the most horrific experience of her life... Why am I such a failure? Pigeoncloud asked himself.

Hollyheart waved her tail when he mildly insulted Medicine cats. She smiled. "Thank you, Robinpaw. I will find a way to help Jaggedbreeze eventually." She said, more confident about the situation now. "Wow, you always seem to know what to do." She complimented him, trying to be casual. "Next you'll be telling me how to walk on water!" She joked. She began purring, the slowly fading sunlight shining through the trees. Sun-down was approaching and she hoped Jaggedbreeze would be at camp by the time she and Robinpaw had the honey. It would be much more difficult to treat her wounds in the dark.

Aridstar hadn't realized Jaggedbreeze entered camp until she looked over at the medicine cats den and saw Jaggedbreeze's tail disappear as she entered it. Aridstar headed for the rock den, hoping her sister wasn't permanently hurt. Aridstar stood behind Jaggedbreeze, waiting to talk to her when she laid down in a nest.

Jaggedbreeze continued walking. She ignored Hazestrike's desperate attempt at a conversation.What an annoyance... what even is a snake anyways? Camp was getting really close by now, and she could faintly hear cats talking.

Once they had arrived at camp, she had a headache from all Hazestrike's talking. She headed straight for the medicine cats den in a hurry to get away from Hazestrike. Jaggedbreeze blinked at Pinetail, waiting for his instructions.

Hazestrike rambled on, "Was it painful when you broke your jaw? It must have been! Or at least, it looks like it. How about your tail, face, and neck? That must have hurten so badly as well! I feel kinda bad for you, to have to go through that. I hope Starclan can heal you. Well, I guess the medicine cats do that. But... starclan may do that a bit too? Whatever, you get the idea." Hazestrike began getting off topic as he neared camp, "One time, when I was an apprentice, I was being chased by a dog! All because I snuck out of camp to trace a deer trail. I don't even know how a dog got that far into the marsh. We aren't even that close to twoleg nests! Only starclan knows... anyway, I was being chased and I tripped on a huge root! It had to be the size of a huge snake! I really don't like snakes, they creep up on you! Just like that apprentice did many moons ago, forgot their name. I remember it was a very short name. Something like Redpaw or... oh hey I really like red. I would have loved to be named Redstrike!" Hazestrike began to never come close to finishing his stories. "That sounds like a claw slashing an enemies neck until they bleed out! Hah, I did that once. The rogue never stood a chance. We were battling, fur was flying everywhere like birds! But I-
oh hey, bird sounds really good right now, wouldn't you sa-" he cut off when he arrived at camp. "Nice talking to you" he said before stopping and watching Jaggedbreeze enter the medicine cats den.
