The general population of any fandom falls for the mainstream heros and villains. Obscure characters generally do not come with enough 'appealing' info to become loved by the general masses. I for one think that is highly unfair. Hence why my favorite characters always were Kein, Fein, Dein, and Yahiko. Though, I love Kyuubi too. And Mizura & Chishima, despite them being filler-only.

EXACTLY. Kein, Dein, & Fein are 3 of the Pein Paths. Both the Animal Paths as well as the Human Path, to be exact. And Yahiko is the Deva Path of Pein.

I like Kankurou, and always have. And Kiba. But they're not really to my exact tastes anymore.

I have a huge crush on Konan and Tenten, honestly. But the Kyuubi is by far the one I love the most, looks-wise.

Oh, me! I'm just not that into him anymore. Now I have Zero, Dain and Doom. And I'm fine with them. :D

My sister used to love Naruto, but now she hates everything about anime. She keeps on freaking out when I watch Vampire Knight. I just cant help it. VK is awsome!!

S'ok, you don't need to be. It's better to be well-versed in the characters you favor. I'm not much of a Naruto fan in general anymore...but I still am an avid shipper.
