There's a stray we've been taking care of for the past for years or so, and she's solid black with bright yellow/orange eyes. We call her Dop, which is short for Doppelganger. Long story. She's also been through our local trap-and-release program, so she's not going to surprise us with kittens any time soon. ;D

Ah yes, scary Halloween kitties. Witches familiars. Nah, just kidding. We have a feral cat that has only one or two white hairs, from a scar. We feed her and she loves to be petted but not picked up. Took us close to a year to get her to even let us touch her. That isn't her, just there for the "awwwww" factor. Doppelganger is your basic golden eyed black cat. We worry about her this time of year since there are people that do get superstitious. (her name is a whole other subject )

Prompt Answer: One of my grandmothers used to have an elderly black tomcat named Matroskin. When I was young, he was mean (probably because I was mean back) but as I grew older, he calmed down. Once, he even brought us (me and my grandparents) a "present" of feathers, something I never saw him do. Last year, I noticed that my grandparents had stopped putting out his bowls of food and water. He's been gone for almost a year now. I don't know if anyone ever found his body. Also, if anyone knows Russian, this is an adorable song on the troubles of black cats.

Promt Answer: Every black cat I've ever owned has been a complete sweetheart! <3 I just wish they were easier to photograph because oh my goodness every time I try they just look like blobs of dark fur and I can never capture their cuteness properly.
Right now I have two black cats, a very very tiny girl named Random, and a big floofy ladies man named Shadow. They're total opposites though, Random is very shy and doesn't make a lot of noise, while Shadow will run right up to you and meow as loudly as possible!

Prompt Answer: I've actually never seen a black cat in real life. It seems kind of insane, right? I've been to all these shelters and pet stores (cause cats and doggos are precious), and have never seen one. I think about it and laugh a bit, because how have I never seen one?
