Spook enters the woods alone, still feeling somewhat rattled after the first experience. Regardless, they know they need to try and find a way through so they can get home. Ahead of them, there are two paths. The first is windy, the trees shake in the heavy winds, branches fall with a crash to the ground on a regular basis. The leaves have been completely stripped from the trees and they rattle ominously as their branches knock together.
The second path is quieter, brightly colored leaves litter the ground and cling to the trees. There is, however, a thick layer of fog cover that makes it difficult to see very far.

Take path 1 or path 2?

Hallows wakes slowly, coming to awareness and realizing that they'd passed out after encountering the hag in the shack. They can still hear her muttering to herself angrily inside the sagging building and quickly dart away from the area, throwing caution to the wind. After several minutes of crashing through underbrush, they stop to catch their breath. An owl hoots above them and they glance upward to see it staring down at them, slowly blinking. Unnerved, Hallows hunches down and waddles quietly back into the undergrowth, glancing back a few times to see if the owl is still watching. When it finally looks away, the snap starts moving more quickly again, determined to get out of these woods.
Before long, they come to a path. They glance both directions and pause, trying to remember which way they came from, not wanting to go backward.

Deciding that the first path looked too treacherous, Spook ambles into the fog, admiring the brightly colored leaves in the trees. Before long though, the fog blocks out all but a foot or two in front of the snap and they find themselves feeling a bit anxious now that they're unable to see what's ahead. Their only comfort is the loudly crunching leaves beneath their claws. Although they revealed Spook's position to anything in the area, they also made it difficult for anything to sneak up on them.
For a moment, the fog clears and Spook spots a few tarantulas crawling beneath the leaves ahead. Feeling rather hungry, they leap forward and snap them up!

After some deliberation, Hallows turns onto the path and moves to their right, wandering quietly along. Before they get very far, they notice that the woods have gone ghostly quiet, the birds have stopped singing and even the breeze that had been rustling the leaves has stopped.
Uncomfortable, Hallows pauses, listening hard for any signs of life. After a long moment, some ghost moths fly into the snap's open mouth and immediately the bird song continues and the breeze picks up again. Well that was odd....

Vulkan cross, Neonbay keep looking

Vulkan, unwilling to turn back, continues hopping across the loose stones, wobbling dangerously as they go. They're almost across when their foot slips and they crash into the stream, their foot catching between two stones and twisting their ankle painfully.

Injury

Vulkan is injured and cannot continue! A friendly ghost deer appears and leads them safely back to the entrance of the woods.
Vulkan can re-enter the woods at 8:55am tomorrow

Neonbay, realizing that the rock path across was more dangerous than they imagined, decides not to attempt the crossing and instead moves along the bank, coming across another bat as they go. Before long they find a fallen log. They push against it to test how sturdy it is before pulling themselves up and waddling across the stream safely.

Spook feels refreshed after gulping down a large, crunchy tarantula. They continue moving through the fog, feeling fairly calm as they haven't heard anything else moving through the leaves as they walk. Soon, however, they sense something strange in the air. Their vision goes clouded and they pass out.

When they wake, they are caged and sitting under a stubby old tree. Nearby a warlock reads from a faded tome. "Oh, you're awake." He mumbles, closing the thick book and setting it aside. "I wasn't sure what kind of beast you were, so I apologize for the cage. You seemed to have passed out when I came upon you in the fog. That's a dangerous place. Many sneaky beasts live there and you likely got caught in one of the forest's enchantments. If you're friendly though, I'll let you out of there?"

Snarl or snuffle?

Having eaten the moths, Hallows continues on their way. They are deep in the woods now and have begun to wonder if they'll ever escape. Just as they begin to accept defeat, they see light ahead and the trees appear to be thinning. Could this be the way out? Or is it a trap? They're not sure.

Neonbay eats it

Neonbay chows down on the bat and then continues waddling into the trees. The sound of the stream fades behind them until they can hear nothing but the rustling of the leaves. Suddenly they hear a shuffling crash ahead and they duck down, moving cautiously toward the noise.
When they round the next bend, they see what is making so much racket, a zombie is wandering aimlessly around in a small clearing. Each time it reaches an edge, it bounces back against the bushes and changes direction. Neonbay watches amused until they realize it has found a path and is coming straight toward them!
