Phoebe lived a sheltered life,
Inside her ivory walls,
An estate lined in pretty things,
Art hanging in the halls,

But she grew curious looking out,
At the world beyond,
From behind her barred glass window she,
Could head great natures song,

It called to her in melody,
Soft and sickly sweet,
So she packed a bag and and walked the path,
With her own four feet,

Things were different beyond her home,
Filled with danger and debris,
But her heart sang loud and clear,
“Phoebe you are free.”

A sense of alarm set off through everyone's mind as the robins in the trees started their screams of panic. Robin, a kal named for the birds, rose from her den to find herself face to face with the most awful and treacherous creature she had ever laid eyes on.
Up until this moment, Robin had never come face to face with a human inside the forest. Let alone one that had what seemed to be a very dangerous object pointed at her. Not once in her life did she believe that she would be having to fight for her life, as well as those lives of her friends.

Within seconds, the birds and other wildlife followed suit. Every little paw and wing flap sounding behind the patter of Kalon paws.

Now years later, Robin looks back on the day they fled. A single tear runs down her face, as she reminisces on the times back home. But not a day goes by that Robin isn't grateful she saved her friends.

How did this Kalon leave the nest ? - Glancing quickly around, she ran far into the fields, letting the wind envelop her and the darkness hide her. She could hear shouts of, "Look for Princess Katya" and "Look harder" but there was no turning back now. Spotting the village lights, she stepped into the inn and asked for a room under the name of Katie. Today was the day Princess Katya died and left behind Katie Medel. Tomorrow, she would be in Aquie, far from the suffocating royal life.

dorothy left the comfort of her "nest" the day she decided that she was determined to take time for self-love, find out who she is, and who she wants to be. it tore her in two, distancing the people she so dearly loved, and facing the world on her own, but she knew that they would always be there to help her, and that she needed to do this for her own sake. she left the comfort of her own skin by pushing herself to be independent, and to find her happiness in herself. she will never regret it.
