i never participated in the lost city event, can you tell me about it?

I always have the urge to save up my tokens and put em all on a pet until the 31st, but i'ts too tempting to turn them in!!!!!

Does it seem to be taking anyone else wayyyyy longer to find tokens than previous evenys? It's taking me at least 3 minutes of solid searching to find one as opposed to the usual 1 minute. Maybe I've got bad luck ahaha.

In the space event I found it kinda easy to get tokens at first, but then when I got more tokens it became more difficult for me to collect them, so I dunno, maybe that's just me, maybe that's how the events/tokens are coded.
