I told her, and she didn't listen...and now..." his voice cracked, and the tom turned his face away from his friend. At Doveroot's mew, he managed to stammer out a sob-ridden response. "C-c-can...can I have a m-moment..?"

The queen was sitting in camp, blissfully unaware on what was going on outside of camp. With a pang of hunger, Windsong went over to the fresh kill pile, grasping a small mouse.

FireFeather woke up to the peaceful silence of the Clan. It was quite calming. Fire clawed his way out of his nest, and made his way to the fresh-kill pile for breakfast. He decided on a small minnow for now. He didn't need much in the morning to curb his stomach.
