The Hunter looked around, she had just caught a sleeping elk Calf and needed to get it back to camp. She sighed not seeing any help so she grabbed its back leg with her Jaw and started pulling it back to camp.

She knew all fighting must be done outside of camp but she also knew that Challenging for a high rank must be witnessed by the Beta at the least. If not the guards too. "it's easy, Athena. Surprisingly, it seemed that luck was on her side for once in her life. The fae didn't follow her. "Which shows how incompetent some pack wolves can be." She thought, skidding around a corner sharply.

To her relief, she caught sight of her son immediately, and exhaled a deep breath. She noticed a large brute retreating into the brush, but cared little about who he was. "Trey!" She gasped, darting over to the young male, who's muscles were tensed.

She greeted him with a motherly nuzzle, then began examining his body for scratches, scrapes, or bruises.

"Did he hurt you?" She murmured, eyeing his cream-colored pelt.

She began heading back the way they had come, chuckling at her son's words. "High? Yeah, it's the leader of the pack. You are one lucky boy...now, it's time for some training..."

As the larger male departed, Trey found the courage to call out after him in protest."I'm sorry sir, but I was only trying to help the pup..." He sighed, feeling bad for young Mason, who probably was going to endure some dreadful punishment.

His muscles were still tense, but he slowly started to relax, now that silence was beginning to describe the forest once more. That was, until a wolf tore out of the bushes, bounding up to him. He was taken by surprise, and jumped backward, tensing up again.

It only took Trey a few seconds to register the fae as his own mother.

"Mom!" He breathed excitedly, leaning into her welcoming nuzzle. "I'm fine." He insisted, responding to her worried words.

"He wasn't so bad, actually. He seemed like a respectful brute." Trey mused aloud, glancing in the direction the brute had gone. "The pup said his uncle was Alpha...is that a high rank?"

He slowly started walking beside his mother, listening to her guidance with a gentle smile on his face.

The far bounded out of camp, eager to go for a second round of hunting. Once she was out, she dropped her muzzle to the ground, scenting a few prey. She began walking in a direction, the scent of squirrel leading her there, but then she stopped abruptly to scent two other wolves. Luckily her nose was good with catching smells,
or else she would have run into those two loners and that couldn't be good. Galaxy slowed down her pace but continued walking towards the two, keeping her eyes locked on the both of them. She kept herself hidden behind a few bushes and scattered leaves as she watched the two.
