@Dino: Regarding traditional naming, I prefer it because it gives you a very clear idea of what a cat should look like and what their most notable skill(s)/personality trait(s) is. If you look at Forestclan, all non-refugee cats are named traditionally, and I try to choose the most traditionally-named cats whenever a clan disbands to add to mine. So, to name a few, Dustleaf is an exceptional medicine cat, Briarwhisker is an exceptional hunter, Gingerstorm is an energetic, tempermental, and moody molly, and Ashstripe is a jack-of-all-trades who, while not exceptional in any one area, is kind and paternal towards the younger cats.
In addition, I love traditional naming because of how different it would be for each clan around the world. Also, there isn't any "set" prefix/suffix list beyond the requirements that the prefix must describe the pelt color and/or notable markings and the suffix must describe a notable skill, personality trait, or overall appearance if the other two aren't noticeable enough. I've seen people use body-part suffixes (-belly, leg-, throat-, etc.), bird-based suffixes (-beak, nest-, wing-, etc.), the Ailuronomy suffixes (-stream, -tail, -heart, -fang, etc.), and any mixture of the above or even more unique systems! Therefore, I don't believe that it's restraining in any manner because everything is completely up to interpretation.
Also, is the trade you sent meant to be a gift or two-way trade? I just wanted to make sure before I edit or accept!
