@simonpet - oh man.. it's great so far! poor dustleaf, her reaction to her acornstream's death is really heartbreaking to me.
@katrione - can't offer much advice in regards to the archive formatting since i'm not happy with my own. ;^; however i think your newest post has to be one of my favorites, the tradition they're doing for squirrelstar is so sweet and i'm curious as to what goosekit's gonna grow up to be.
pineclan has two new kittens now! at the expense of their poor mom's life rip anthiese we barely knew ye i think i have at least... 13 babies??? i should rename them kitclan at this point haha. anyway, i'm having trouble thinking up names for these two?? i kinda like valeriankit for the tom though, so i think i'm going with that unless anyone else has some suggestions? :3c

@Dinolil1, Traditional naming didn't exist in the warrior cats series. It came about to help support people creating names for characters in roleplay and stories since its a very simple style of naming. Prefix is something based on the cat's appearance (size, coat, whatever). Suffix is based on something the cat has a strength in (good fighter = claw, great swimmer = stream). Traditional naming makes sense in a lot of ways (since a 'Onekit' just sounds odd), but it also closes off a lot of fun and creative name options. I had a tom character named Leapingscales, and I really loved his character and name, but I felt pressured into naming him something else because a lot of other authors I watched were pushing for the traditional naming style.
{EDIT} The reason (at least, as far as I know) that names appear 'crazier' in newer installments is because the original names like Onewhisker and Longtail were intended for adult cats (kit names weren't even a factor) and to give the reader a quick idea of what the cat is like (Runningnose often has a runny nose, etc). The 'crazier' new names are often handed off to kits (which is why we don't see any numbered or dachshund-length kits running around in current books) and are usually meant to relate to whatever the parents were feeling at the time when the kits were born.

@dinolil1 - ooh i think i'm gonna go with holly- and hemlock- for them now! thanks for the help dino. c:
on the subject of traditional naming, i like and use it because i think it adds a little more depth and word-building in warriors, but i do agree with @grey_hoodie on the fact that it closes off the opportunity for more creative names.
@amethyst14 - honestly i'm kinda tempted to have more litters in my clan lol, in truth the recent cases of kits and dying and now the mother in my clan actually helps with the plot i have in mind for lavenderkit? also i read your posts, i try my best to read everyone's nowadays. and now for naming suggestions for the small cat baby!
sand-, dust-, quail-, rabbit-, pipit-, teasel?? personally i like pipit- out of all of these, the bird seems to match her pelt the most. :'0

I really like Pipit, sounds really cute, Pipitkit. It's going to be weird aging her up early, I'm going to see if Kat would be okay with me aging her up slower than the other cats. Until she is more adult looking. Because I take tons of pictures of her and my dog, they are so meant for each other it is cute.
