Newtpaw shuffled out of the apprentice's den, her ears flattened. She was taking the death of her mother quite hard. It wasn't difficult to see the frail tears always threatening to spill down her pale face. She knew that Piketooth was due for taking her on patrol, but Newtpaw's limbs didn't seem to want to move towards the warrior's den to check if he was there. With a slow sigh, she sat down in the middle of the clearing, staring at her paws.

Honeystar nodded, and hoped that the she was telling the truth. "If you ever need me, you know where to find me." He left the den shortly after, looking at the gathering cats.

Nightpaw padded over to her sister, Newtpaw, and sat down beside her. She looked at the she-cat which she was pretty sure could cry at any moment, but didn't know what to do. What could I do to cheer her up..? Nightpaw thought in her head quietly, though she knew, that even if she tried to cheer her sister up, she wasn't too happy herself due to all the killings and exiles that had happened in the clan.

Lightningtail had grown suspicious every time she noticed a Clanmate was missing from their nest ever since the murders happened, so when she woke up and realized Piketooth's scent was stale, she immediately felt worried. The molly quickly got out from her nest and padded outside, hoping to spot the blue-gray tom anywhere, but found nothing much to her dismay. "Honeystar?" She called out to the leader, tail twitching anxiously. "You haven't seen Piketooth around, have you?"
