July: Well, since Brightstar is barley ever on, we decided on Peppersong becoming deputy. Brightstar was killed by a badger, and Peppersong is going to become leader. She and Silversong are going to the Moonpool for her to get her 9 lives soon. That's about it.))

River padded over to the warriors den. She lay down, hoping she could get some sleep. Brightstar's death was hard on her but she didn't feel anything right now. She had no idea why. Why was she seeming so cold about Brightstar's death? She closed her eyes and sleep covered her.

Raccoontail padded in, his mouth full of fresh-kill. As he set the prey in the fresh-kill pile he noticed all the cats gathered around in a circle. Cautiously he padded forward until he could see Brightstar's body. Grief washed over him. She was deputy when he was an apprentice and he knew she had lead the clan well. He licked her ear one last time. "We shall remember you" He whispered.

Nightshade stood up, stretching her legs one by one. "It's time to sleep" She quickly found her kits, nosing them towards the nursery. When she curled in her nest, her kits snuggled around her, sleep quickly found her

Silentkit slowly closed her eyes. Brightstar's death was hard for her but she hoped to escape it all in dreams.

Featherflight was stunned at Brightstar's death. But she was happy for Peppersong, who she had first met before she had joined LeafClan. She would make a great leader. She went over to the fresh-kill pile and picked up a mouse. She settled down to enjoy it.
