Aster looked at Tony, shocked at the bluntness of his question. She swept her silver hair out of her face, her green eyes glistening like jade. "I can hunt. I'm very accurate with a bow and arrow, and I'm pretty good at setting traps... I had to back at district 10 to feed my family..." she faught back the tears that threatened to come, like a silvery mist in her eyes. She didn't want to think about home right now. About her sisters, about her father, or any of the friends she'd left behind. "I've also done a fair bit of knife throwing." she sat for a few moments more, thinking. What were her weaknesses? "... and I guess my main weakness is that I trust people." she left it at that, not wanting to explain what she meant.
DISTRICT 10
Otto sat down on the red, velvety sofa, not knowing what to say. The silence was long and awkward, so thick with the tension of knowing that one of them was probably going to end up killing the other that you could cut it with a knife. His longish brown hair fell in front of his deep, chocolately eyes, and he flipped it out.
DISTRICT 7
Lyra smiled and shook his hand. She noticed he had a firm, strong grip, showing character on his part. She inwardly thought he'd have a very decent chance in the games. Maybe she wouldn't have to see both her tributes get killed this time after all. "Nice to meet you, Dunny. Are you comfortable here on the train? Is there anything I can get you? I want to make sure you're ready to discuss the Games before we jump right into this business." Although she always told herself that she wouldn't get attached to the tributes, she always treated them like her own children, and ended up caring for them each individually. Unfortunately, only one of her tributes had ever survived, and she'd been mentoring for seventeen years. Memories of all their faces came flooding to her mind, and a great heaviness fell upon her heart as she looked at Dunny. How naiive of her to think any of them had a chance. it was the same, every year; she'd get their and her own hopes up, only in the end to have them dead in the arena.
