ooo i didn't know something like this existed!! a definite mark :o I'm hopeless with math and history ^^;; I don't need it currently, but can anyone here give help with stats?

    I HAVE A QUESTION!
    TYPE OF QUESTION: English
YOUR QUESTION: we're doing personal statement essays for english, and I was wondering if anyone could look mine over and help me know what to fix? I am aware that this is a "personal" piece of writing, but it doesn't contain my age, name, my school/school(s) I'm applying to, nor anything that reveals my identity. please let me know if you can and I'll make a new Doc to share (can't post it anywhere because we're using turnitin)

YOUR QUESTION:

Ammonia can also be synthesized by the reaction:
3H2(g)+N2(g)→2NH3(g)
What is the theoretical yield of ammonia, in kilograms, that we can synthesize from 5.54 kg of H2 and 32.2 kg of N2?

I am not even sure how to tackle this question since our teacher hasn't taught us how to do these questions, yet homework is done on Sunday night.

Yes the limiting reactant would be the smallest which is your answer since that's how much you can make of the product. Well both problems end with the solution being NH3 so there is your amount of product. Then you decide out of the two the smallest number. In this problem's case you answer is 27.5 kg of NH3 because you can't make anymore than that.

Sorry if I couldn't explain well but good luck <3

That makes way more sense.

2C8H18(g)+25O2(g)→16CO2(g)+18H2O(g)
Part B
0.390 mol of octane is allowed to react with 0.810 mol of oxygen. Which is the limiting reactant?

Why wouldn't it be octane? I thought it would be octane because it has less moles that oxygen and in the equation, you need less octane to react that oxygen.

Don't forget the stoichiometry of your equation. Octane and oxygen do not react at a 1:1 amount. Different amounts of octane to oxygen react to get your product. A lot more oxygen goes into creating your carbon dioxice + water than octane does, which is why they're going to get used up at different speeds.

You should find this helpful: https://chem.libretexts.org/Core/Inorga ... g_Reagents

It's been a while since I did this sort of chem, so I'm not positive, but you have a reaction where the reactants are 4:1 (HCl:O2 for all my ratios). In the image where the most product will be created, you have a 6:3 ratio, which means you can perform the reaction 1.5 times. The product you're looking at is created in 2 for every 4:1 reaction. 2 x 1.5 = 3, so you'll get 3 molecules of Cl2.

Pre-emptive edit: I didn't even google your whole question (left out the actual compounds) and this question is a popular one: https://www.google.com/search?q=how+man ... 8&oe=utf-8 You can use any of those google sources to verify your answer.

You seem to have a lot of questions. You should set up an appointment to talk with your teacher, spend some time with your TA, or even look into tutoring if you usually have this many questions. Honestly, even just search around google or youtube. The internet is at your fingertips! Utilize the dozens upon dozens of tutorials out there for all this stuff!

Like, yes, we can help you when you're stuck, but we shouldn't be a stand-in for a teacher/TA. ^^;;

Thank you so much! I struggle in physics more than chemistry, but my school doesn't have any tutors for my physics class. My teacher doesn't even have office hours since he works at three different schools. I've been using Khan Academy to get extra help, but for some reason these specific physics problems are giving me some issues.

For chemistry I do have a tutor (my professor doesn't really teach and the book doesn't always make thing clear), but she wasn't able to meet up with me, thus I have been trying to figure out how to do the problems on my own. The few questions I have asked here has actually helped me get an 85% on the homework since I understand a lot more with what I am doing <3 I really appreciate all the help <3 A lot of times when I look at how people do the problems online, they don't really fully explain it in a way that I understand, but both of you explained things in a way that I did understand.

I HAVE A QUESTION!
TYPE OF QUESTION:
English/History
YOUR QUESTION:
Okay, for my English class, I'm supposed to write a children's story book on the colonization of the Igbo people. One problem: I can't find one definite answer from any sources, not even Wikipedia. It seems that no one quite knows. It's starting to really frustrate me, and I was wondering if anyone could direct me to some good sources for this kind of subject? Thank you!

I suggest you take a look at the book, Things Fall Apart. It is a book often used in school's. Also when finding sources, try and use sources from universities/colleges or places of higher education or learning (like museums). I did find this when searching the web: http://www.faculty.ucr.edu/~legneref/igbo/igbo2.htm (it also has credible references at the bottom) and https://www.jstor.org/stable/180569?seq ... b_contents

If you have a library card, see if your library has any books or journal articles on the colonization of the Igbo people ^.^

Hopefully this helps!
