Newtpaw glanced at the lavender quietly, taking a deep breath. She bent down and lapped up the leaves, but she was still trembling.

Sweetleaf saw that Newtpaw was still shaking because of her mother's death. She put her tail on the she-cat's shoulders and looked at her with a soft gaze. "Would you like to come into the Medicine cat's den and rest? You can be with me and Breezefire."She offered trying to calm down Newtpaw.

Lightningtail mumbled to Potoopaw that she would be in the warriors' den if he needed her and he was always welcome to visit her if he needed someone to vent to. She cast a long glance at Newtpaw before she left, wishing she could comfort her too as well as wondering where on earth Firefeather was when his daughter needed him most. The molly shook her head in disapproval before entering the den and curling up in her nest, left alone with her and her thoughts.

honeystar called out "all cats old enough to swim, gather round!"
he swished his tail as his clan gathered, before announcing
"a killer is among us! and we must exile them out before they kill us all!"
a crescendo of shouts followed his words, before he howled to quite them down,
before saying "who do you think the killer is?" he winced as more cats called out,
but he could hear the majority calling out the medicine cat apprentices name,
and he then turned to breezefire before saying "breezefire,
as the will of the clan, you are now exiled! if you are found in riverclan territory,
you will be killed on sight!" breezefire recoiled as if bitten,
before saying in a ragged voice "fine, but you wont miss me!".
she raised her tail before bolting out of camp,
with a small patrol of cats following to make sure she leaves.
breezefire runs, before finding herself in windclan territory, where they gladly take her in.
riverclan, you have exiled the witness!

piketooth padded along the river, eyeing the bush's warily.
it had been a day since honeystar had exiled breezefire,
and now piketooth was starting to patrol even more frequently,
due to nervousness. as he was padding along the river,
he heard a solitary voice say "wait, who would we kill next?"
piketooths blood went cold as he heard that, and he froze before crouching down,
before his eyes widening as he heard a second voice say
"i dont know, any ideas?" piketooth didn't recognize that voice,
as the first one was vaguely familiar. "i really dont know.
wait, do you hear that?" piketooth instantly closed his mouth,
as he realized he had been panting. "its nothing, but you should
know who to kill next, their your clanmates!" piketooth let out
a large gasp, before covering his mouth with his paw, as
the first voice howled "thats a cat! kill them now, before
they run to my clanmates!" piketooth turned to flee, before a
body slammed into him, and he smelt the ragged smell of loner.
he groaned before trying to get up, but the loner jumped on his back,
forcing him down, before biting his ear. piketooth yowled before rolling over,
but before he could get up, he felt a blazing pain in his belly,
and spots formed in his vision, as he bled out near the river.
riverclan, you have lost your handsome guard!!
