Sophie sat, bleary eyed, on a bench just in front of the wide glass sliding doors leading to the wilds of Tui Island. Raising a sleepy hand, she gave her tired blue eyes a rub with the back of her right hand, her glasses jostling on the bridge of her nose. Her left had gave a shunt of the bundle hidden in her black, zip-up hooded jacket; giving a grunt as the package inside squirmed in the make-shift pouch. If the odd baby-bump wasn’t getting looks before, it certainly was now.

“Sandshreeeew~” came the sleepy coo of her ‘baby’, the little tyke popping its head up and out of the opening of her zip up hoody, its stubby little ears giving a flick as its mouth opened wide in a yawn. ‘Seems my Pokémon are just as tired as me.’ She though, giving into the urge to yawn as well.

Sophie wasn’t one to normally get up so early, she preferred lying in bed till at least 8:30, if not nine. She felt no need to rush off on an adventure, the wild outdoors and all the Pokémon in it would still be there when she rolled out of bed at a reasonable hour. Casting a glance through the glass sliding doors at the front of the Pokémon Center to see the orange glow of the sun on the horizon as dawn broke. ‘Six am is way too early. I bet the wild Pokémon are still asleep.’

With a sniff, she rested her chin on the top of her Sandshrew’s peeking head, her eyes dragging inwards once again to glance around the Pokémon Center lobby. ‘I wonder where the others are. They better not be sleeping otherwise I’ll just leave ‘em all behind, screw the plans.’

Primrose wiped her eyes, and then stretched her hands above her head. Morning time, wonder if I will be the first one here? Hmm..But I'm not exactly early so.. She thought. She was reluctant to go on this little 'adventure' as she called it. Today wasn't the day she thought it would be, Primrose thought it would be more exciting. Her day started with her throwing on a teal shirt, and some cut off jeans. Primrose grabbed a bite to eat, and then got her Pokémon up, and ready for the day. Then, once all three four of them were ready to go she headed out for the Pokémon Center.

What an eventful morning. Primrose thought as she let Janel, her Mudkip out of it's pokéball. The Center's red roof came into view, and so did it's glass doors. "Sophie, right?" Primrose asked making sure that she was remembering the right name. Matching names to faces weren't her greatest talent. Janel decided it was time to introduce herself. "Kip!" She chirped, as the Pokémon jumped up a bit.

Nixie was somewhat slow to wake up, laying in bed for an extra five minutes before she forced her unwilling body to get out of bed. Half asleep, she dragged herself to the closet were she chose an outfit at random, consisting of a white t-shirt with random designs in black, dark washed jeans, and a pair of forest green shoes, before settling down to eat a bit of breakfast. She lazily rubbed her tired green eyes, waiting for the visions before her to clear up before she did anything else. Her long, dyed hair was a total mess, but she decided she would deal with that later.

Nixie wasn't much hungry at the moment, so she just grabbed a random fruit from the table and made her way to the bathroom to quickly run a brush though her hair. She battled with the unruly tangles in her hair for a few minutes until she was happy with the way her brown and black hair. She let two of her Pokemon out of their pokeballs at the same time to give them a little something to eat, especially Fleur who gets grumpy when not fed. The last Pokemon was still napping on the pillow that had been opposite to Nixie's head, so she walked over to the drowsy Sentret and whispered "Come on Olive, you need to wake up little buddy." The Sentret tossed and turned a little bit until she gently poked his belly in an attempt to wake him.

Olive woke with a start and immediately scampered off to the other side of the room. He looked rather tense until a look of recognition crossed the Pokemon's face and he settled down. Nixie giggled at her Sentret's eccentric antics and gave him a berry before bringing the Ponyta and Bulbasaur back into their pokeballs. "Okay Olive, I think we're all set to go!" Nixie said in a rather fake, cheery tone. The Sentret climbed up Nixie's slender body and settled upon her shoulder. She took the bag that was laying next to the bed and slung it over her free shoulder. She walked briskly out the door, despite still being pretty tired. She certainly didn't want to be late to meet the others.

The outside air was cool and misty, while the sky hinted at glimpses of dawn. Nixie groaned a little bit, thinking that waking up at six was maybe a bit too early to be going on an adventure. The Sentret had plopped sidewards, headfirst, with his face nestled into her warm neck. He was clinging onto her white shirt with his sharp little claws. She could tell that the poor guy was still sleepy, but she shook him slightly to make sure Olive didn't completely fall off her shoulder. He perked up a bit, just enough to keep himself alert and not in danger of falling off. Nixie finally saw the Pokemon Center come into her field of vision and sighed with a bit of relief.

In no time she had made it to her destination and searched for the people she was supposed to be meeting up with. Soon enough she spotted a blue-eyed girl with glasses and girl with long, dark brown hair who were in front of the Pokemon Center. They seemed to be a part of the group she was meeting up with, but she felt the need to ask just in case. She walked up to them and asked hesitantly "You two are Primrose and Sophie, correct?"

One Life.Live It

The young man was fast asleep, the duvet covers entangled with his exposed legs. His 'reasonably long' hair covered his eyes as he slept on. On the other side of the small, dark room, the door opened and light spilled inside. A Charmander walked inside, an apple grapsed in its paws (/hands?). He stood for a while, staring at his master, before his large blue eyes wandered to the clock. 5.50.
With a squeek, Charmander leapt onto the sleeping Jared, and started jumping up and down, crying out "Char!" as he did so. The man grumbled, and his eyes blinked open. He had strong blue eyes, that were similar to Charmanders.
"What the...Charmander?" The fire at the tip of the little Pokemon's tail was blinding him, so he had to blink several times before he could see the room. "Whats wrong?" With a glance at the clock, his mouth fell open. He leapt out of bed, and started to charge around the room. Changing into a simple black t-shirt and some worn jeans, he picked up his rucksack that he had luckily packed the night before. In the side pocket were two shiny poke balls.
He charged out of the house, grabbing an apple from the kitchen as he passed it, and ran to the Pokemon Center that wasn't too far from his apartment. Charmander, who had grabbed onto Jared and had climbed up to hang onto his shoulder, was silent, and was mainly concentrating on making sure that he didn't set fire to the backpack. Jared burst into the Pokemon center not a minute before the clock turned to 6. He looked around at the people gathered there, and sighed. He leant against the wall, panting, and then grinned. He recognised some of the people, and made his way over to them, still panting slightly.
"Not late am I? I'm Jared, this is Charmander" He said, motioning to Charmander who was still clutching onto his shoulder. "Char!"

Sophie gave a docile blink as all of a sudden she was surrounded by people; Sandshrew could do nothing but give a squeak of shock before turning tail and diving back into her jacket. Sophie simply gave a dazed and sleepy nod as she stood up with a yawn, her arms stretching as she gave a pleased groan; her neck giving a healthy crack.

“Wazzup.” Came the sleepy drawl, having not quite woken up yet. She covered her mouth as she gave another, large gaping yawn as her maw stretched wide. Giving a point downwards with the hand that had been covering her parted lips, she mentioned to the squirming lump over her belly.

“This is Sandshrew, He’ll come out when we’re out of town, most likely. I think it’s a bit too much excitement for him, he’s not used to lots of people, especially Pokémon. He’s only a freshie, just caught him.” She finished with a half-cocked smile, her lips unusually loose with conversation. She simply put it down to how sleepy she was.

“I’m Sophie, by the way.” She intoned with a docile smile to match her voice, extending a hand for a polite handshake.

“Nice too meet you all.” She finished, pulling back her hand to cover another yawn. ‘I wonder if Mareep learn yawn in the middle of the night and decided to test it out on me.’ She thought amusedly to herself, her eyes taking note of the group; especially the adorable Pokémon.

‘Charmander, so cute~’ She cooed mentally, absentmindedly stroking her belly bump. She was rewarded, however, by a rather painful jab of Sandshrews claw into her soft belly. Giving a grimace, she recoiled, only to hear her Sandshrew chirp happily. He was obviously happy with the scratches and was simply showing his happiness, not knowing he had hurt her. ‘Lies, he probably knew I was thinking about Charmander and got jealous so he punished me.’ She mentally sobbed as she ignored the pain in her gut from the affectionate jab.

“I think we’re only waiting for one more person, right?” Sophie asked, trying to bypass the thought of another jab from the pin-cushion hiding in her hoodie.
