Weather: It's winter! Sparkling white snowflakes are beginning to rain from the sky, covering the ground with a thin sheet of snow. Almost all rabbits and predators are no where to be seen as animals search for somewhere to shelter before the storm clouds that lay in the distance roll in. Don't send the same rabbits out to much to keep your warren from getting sick!

The warren was more alive than he'd ever seen it, with two new additions in the same week. In absence of anyone who could serve as a proper parental figure - Aster was too awkward, Nettle was too rough, Ilex too distant - the young student had begun to gravitate toward Melanium. Aster wasn't about to complain, especially since she had already started training him.

The rabbits of Whispering are very diverse in coloring, but are usually kind hearted and willing to take in any strays. Their territory lies deep in an aspen forest, with a slow moving stream running through it.

Number of Rabbits: Here (Bucks: 1 | Doe: 0)

Ahead was a luscious grove, penned in by towering aspen trees on all side. Bramble pounded the ground with his foot. "It sounds perfect to make warrens," Bramble thought. "Now only to find rabbits to fill the warren... Maybe if I ask my ancestors they will gift me one!"

As soon as Bramble asked for a rabbit, he heard a snuffling coming from behind him. He turned about and came face to face with a large, tri-colored rabbit with the biggest ears he's ever seen.
"Oh!" The stranger rabbit shouted with surprise as Bramble turned to meet him. "I didn't notice you there! I was just looking for some food to eat... You don't have some, do you?" The rabbit looked quizzically at Bramble.
He didn't know what to think of this, but he took this hungry rabbit as a gift the stars have sent down. "Um, no. But if you come back to my warren, you might find some there! I'll show you the way, then I'm going to have a quick look around borders, and I'll meet you back there. Sound good?"
"Right you are" replied the rabbit and started hoping away.
"Its kind of this way" Bramble said to the receding rabbit as he flicked his ears in the right direction. Ugh, let's hope he isn't like this all the time.

Rat quickly led the newest members back to the warren, not wanting to be out in the cold any longer then absolutely neccesary. After showing them where to sleep, he went to bed himself.

~THE NEXT DAY~

Rat new that things would need to be done quickly, and that everyone needed to be home before the sun went below the tree line to keep from being caught out in the cold. He gave his orders then bounded off.

[x0]Beech Leaves | Used to carry herbs.
[x0]Bindweed | Fastens sticks to broken legs to keep them in place.
[x0]Blackberry Leaves | These leaves are chewed into a pulp. Eases the swelling of bee stings.
[x0]Borage Leaves | It is chewed and eaten. It produces more and better milk. It also brings down fevers.
[x0]Broom | It is used to make poultices for broken legs and wounds.
[x0]Burdock Root | The root is dug up, the soil is washed off, and then it is chewed into a pulp. Lessens and heals the pain of infected rat bites; used to prevent infection of rat bites.

[x0]Dandelion | The white liquid is thought to be applied to bee stings. Leaves can be chewed. Thought to soothe and heal bee stings. Its leaves can also be chewed to act like a painkiller.
[x1]Dock | Chewed up and applied to scratches. Similar to sorrel. Also can be put in one's nest during sleep. Soothes scratches, though can sting when being applied. Soothes sore pads. If placed in nests, it can ease the pain of wounds.

[x1]Feverfew | Eaten. Reduces body temperature for cats with fever or chills. Also heals aches and pains, especially good for headaches.

[x1]Goldenrod | Chewed into a poultice. Good for healing wounds.
[x0]Hawkweed | Like Catmint/Catnip but not as strong.
[x1]Heather Nectar | Included in herbal mixtures. Makes swallowing easier and sweetens mixtures.
[x0]Honey | Eaten, or given by moss soaked in it. Soothes infections, is a great remedy for smoke-damaged or sore throats, helps cats swallow other concoctions, helps soothe coughing, and gives energy.
[x0]Horsetail | Chewed to a poultice, and applied to wounds. Treats infections and stops bleeding.

[x1]Juniper Berries | Chewed and eaten. Soothes bellyaches, gives strength, and helps troubled breathing. It is also used to help calm cats.

[x0]Marigold | Petals or leaves chewed in a poultice. Juice can be used as well. Stops infection. Stops bleeding. Used for inflammation of stiff joints.

[x1]Mouse Bile | The liquid is stored in moss and dabbed onto ticks embedded in pelt. The ticks fall off.
[x0]Oak Leaf | The dried leaves are to be stored in a dry location until the time of usage, when they are chewed into a thick poultice and spread on a wound. Stops infection from setting in.
[x0]Parsley | Eaten Stops a queen from producing milk if her kits die, don't need milk anymore, or are producing too much milk. Also used to cure bellyache.

[x0]Stick | Cats in pain bite it when other medicine is either unavailable or not recommended. Also used to help broken legs heal. Distracts cats from pain. Recommended for queens giving birth.
[x0]Stinging Nettle | The seeds are eaten by a cat who's swallowed poison, or the leaves are chewed into a poultice for a wound. The stems can also be chewed. Induces vomiting, or brings down swelling, respectively. Can be mixed with comfrey to help heal broken bones. Helps with wounds. Chewing the stems helps fight against infection.

[x1]Tansy | To be consumed, but only in small doses. Cures coughs. Can be used to cure wounds and poisons. Stops cats from getting greencough. Soothes throats.

[x0]Thyme | Leaves can be chewed on. Calms nervousness, anxiety, and cats who are in shock.

Season: Winter
Weather: A blizzard has struck the territories. The snow and wind are blinding, and nothing can be seen unless it's right in front of you. Best to keep your rabbits in camp unless unavoidable.

Soon after Kamei and Rex returned, Cato was already getting a warm welcome and his assignment as a Gatherer. It was not long before he embarked on his first journey. "I'll go and ask for a Healer," Kamei told Rex after Cato bounded away, followed by Mynah who was going to do a quick patrol. Rex nodded and decided to snooze for a quick while.

Rienne hoped out of camp, a slight spring in her step from the excitement of a new companion—and, more importantly, a profound doctuer for her Warren. chanceux turned out to be a rather lovely male, helpful and already heading out of camp to get herbs.

"Better start sooner than later," the buck chimed before he had went to search through the crisp white snow for any signs of life in the vegetation, voice thick with the same French accent that Rienne carried. Rienne didn't know how she got any better luck, he was a dorkishly-cute, and she knew that he was going to be one to toy with the hearts of doe without even knowing it. one lopsided grin and one could be swayed to the command of the doctuer.

not rienne, of course though. no, she had other things to do then oogle a herbalist who was simply doing his duties. replacing the infatuation that she was sure another would carry for him, she held a distinctive respect for the buck. he was, after all, the doctuer of the warren, or as others preferred to call the healer. it made her wonder how many other warren were out their, she knew there could be countless, but still, she wondered.
