Flora I ♀ I High Assistant I Wood Dweller I Mushroom Wood
Flora watched outside and felt the gentle touch of Meridia's wing. She chuckled a bit as a single tear rolled down her cheek.
"Heh.. how pathetic of me. I... can't.. even handle a few negative memories before sobbing." she joked in her distraught state. She continued to gaze upwards with a glazed look in her eyes. The stars still comforted her, along with the only friend she ever knew. All of these combined led her to feel a fuzzy feeling along with gratefulness. However, this was literal fuzzyness. The wood beneath her began to sprout a small bed of thin but soft moss, even without rain. She only figured this out mere moments after it happened, and she was shocked. She didn't even have to focus anymore. The movement of plants seemed to respond to her feelings as well. Her connection to the earth must've strengthened. It must've. Not only that, but she noticed something else. Glowing mushrooms popped up near the edge of the post, reaching out to the sky. How? They grow in dark, damp places. Not regular old wood.. Plants were starting to grow in the most unnatural of places. She looked at Meridia in shock, and they both exchanged looks.
Miraa I ♀ I Alpha I Frigid Dweller I Alpha's Tree
Miraa looked around in slight embarrassment, and gazed at Valkyrie and Iusshe. She dipped her head in thanks and shakily got up with a much better mood. She walked a few steps out the den. Without looking back, she spoke.
"When you're done fixing Hermaeus, please tell him to return to the Alpha's Tree." She walked away and held a slight limp on the way back. She looked up at the giant sturdy husk of a tree, and hoisted herself up into the entrance. She really hoped all of this would heal the next day.. She walked through the carved in staircase up to her living quarters. Before she ascended, she looked briefly at her assistant's room. Miraa walked back down and decided to visit his room again. A neat, organized room that he himself made. She looked over at the wooden box that held Hermaeus' scrolls. She went over to it, careful not to touch anything else, and opened it. The dust was piled high with the exception of her assistant's fresh claw prints he left to open it the first time. Scrolls were piled gently in there, and she picked one up with care. The scroll showed all the basic and common words Dovahzul had, and she read all of them in order to refresh herself. Lower down, she found a few ones she saw in her personal learning scroll, but they looked different. They must've been the correctly portrayed here, as Hermaeus said earlier that hers had a few mistakes. She gently rolled it back up the way it was, and placed it back in the same spot. The time to learn would come later. Right now, she wanted badly to rest. She closed the box and placed it back, then returned to the staircase to her quarters. Her room was big, and lavishly decorated worthy for a queen. With shelves of scrolls, a few lamps and several carved out holes to act as windows, there were also sculptures of ice she made herself and a fluffy nest-like bed made of wool. It was comforting to be back in her cold room, and she sat down on her fluffy bed, only to ruin it with a few streaks of blood that came from a wound she accidentally uncovered when she sat down. Darn it. She would clean it later. It meant nothing compared to the worry she felt. Alduin and Igneus were dancing in her thoughts, and she imagined them sitting atop the Alpha's Tree, blowing crimson and orange flames down at the residents below. She whined and covered her head with a tattered wing, trying to nap.
Igneus I ♂ I Rogue I Stranger Woods I Alduin
"Pin point." he growled, trying not to express his shock that the dragon managed to guess his age. He stood his ground as the other male backed off, but he himself couldn't help but gaze at his wounds. He wanted hard for this battle to end. However, he kept himself from striking. He couldn't bear to feel another slash or claw at the moment. For the first time in a while, Igneus decided to stop fighting, and replace it with a compromise. But he'd have to be subtle. He narrowed his eyes at a compliment that he had not at all expected to hear from this dragon. Eons old? What a grandpa! A tough one, at least. He sighed heavily, but hid his frustration.
Just end the quarrel. "You.. are right about one thing. ..Dovahzul.. isn't just bumbling garbage. As an even younger dragon, I.. thought it was nothing but that." he panted, his voice laced with scorn. He quickly shut himself up, and watched the dragon with wary eyes. He wasn't about to lose his guard and his life. He
will become Alpha of Mushroom Wood or Chilled Wood again. Maybe even alpha of the whole High Island, or all of Stranger Woods and Mushroom Woods. Then the thought occurred to him. Was this the dragon that Meridia fought off after his departure? After all, he did know her name. Igneus never paired up with anybody, but.. If they shared thoughts about Meridia, maybe they could take her down? He felt smarter after thinking this, but doubted himself. The dragon was really independent, and he cared not about anyone else. But he also couldn't help but feel slightly proud that he managed to be even with a much more experienced dragon.
