PokeQuest - A Pokemon Adventure V.3

Riley from Blackthorn City

Riley is strong headed and fiery girl of twenty-one years, this matches both her home city and her mother, Clair, the gym leader of Blackthorn Gym. Her long copper is set in a high pony tail, which contrasted greatly against her striking blue eyes and fair skin. Riley tends to lean towards dragon type and fire type pokemon as she has grown up with the warmth and protection of said creatures with these types, especially her mum's Dragonair's and Kingdra, she was often seen playing with them near the water when she was young. But now, she is ready to travel the Hoenn towns and gyms, battling them until she beats all, and then moving onto Sinnoh and the other areas!

The professor greets Riley warmly and hands her a pokeball, "I know it isn't much.. but just wait until later down the road." she says as she throws a wink at the younger girl. Riley presses the button on the pokeball and...

It's a level 5 male Swablu, the Cotton Bird pokemon!
It has a Timid nature and knows the moves Growl, Peck, Astonish & Sing!

Jaiden smiled at the Houndour, "Thank you so much!" she exclaimed to the professor, the houndour tilted her head at Jaiden, and looked back to the professor before cautiously stepping forward. Jaiden looked confused, but gave a wave to the professor before walking out the building, pride in her steps. The houndour close at her feet, she gave one last goodbye to her sister and parents before walking out into the open, "How about Sombra? Do you like that name, girl?" asked Jaiden, the Houndour nodded, "Houndour!" Sombra barked out. She grinned as she walked out, just walking about freely, Sombra seemed concerned, looking around to make sure they weren't getting lost. Jaiden was a bit worried, but didn't want to seem scared to her new companion.

Phaulks looked down her new Eevee and smiled, not only did she get one of the pokemon that she always wanted, but it was a shiny to boot! She giggled with glee as she looked at her newest friend.

"Do you want to ride in your pokeball or walk with me?" She asked him.

"Eeee!" he sqeaked with delight.

"You want to walk, then?" Phaulks tried to clarify.

"Eeee!" he squeaked again with the same enthusiasm.

"Can I trust you not to run off?" Phaulks asked seriously.

There was a quick nod of his head as he took a stoic position at her heels and waited for her to start. She smiled down at him and started off towards the route heading out of town. She was unhappy to be so far from home, but excited that she was finally heading out on her journey. She started out while thinking about what to call her new little friend.

"What shall we name you?" she asked, looking down at him.

He only looked up at her with a smile as they walked, and she noted how he was more of a white color then the usual brown that a normal eevee was. It reminded her of snow, and of how her great-grandmother loved a specific snow white flower. It was called an Edelweiss, and grew in her great-grandmother's homeland.

"What do you think of Edelweiss?" She asked the little pokemon.

"Eeee! Eeee!" he squeaked, while running little circles around her legs.

"I will take that as a yes. Let's go Edelweiss!" She said as she took off running for the exit of town.

She stopped short, though, and realized that she was very ill equipped to leave town. She looked around and spotted a pokemon center not far.

"We should stop to get some supplies first!" she declared as she turned and headed for the pokemon center.

She and Edelweiss entered the pokemon center and she quicky looked around for the pokemart that was normally located within. She was also on the look out for anyone that she might talk to as well.

So, due to my hiatus I forgot to give all new players a few things. First off - everyone receives x5 pokeballs & a pokedex from the professor! I also forgot to mention the ability for all pokemon!

While Jaiden and Sombra were exploring, they stumbled across a Pokémon! Jaiden whips out her Pokedex, and it says that the strange Pokémon is a Hoothoot, the Owl Pokémon! It says that it's a Level 4 Female, but it can't tell her anything else unless she catches it!

Before entering the pokecenter an old man stumbles out and bumps into Phaulks! The balding man flashes the young girl and her silver eevee a crooked smile, "Oh deary, don't you go forgettin' to brush your teeth now!" and hands the girl two pokeballs with a bright smile and a nod.

While inside the pokecenter Nurse Joy politely hands her five pokeballs, courtesy of the Professor.

She picked up Edelweiss and walked out of the pokemon center and headed towards the exit of town. She was eager to get along with her journey and wanted to explore right away. She left town and started out on the path to the next town.

"So, Edelweiss, where to next?" Phaulks asked as she let the little Eevee down to walk on his own.

Edelweiss stood for a moment, sniffing at the air, then proceeded to lead the way.

'You cheeky little thing, get back here now!' Riley exclaimed as the timid creature was hiding somewhere in the trees, she don't know what she did to make him fly away but she wasn't having any of it. 'Zakari! Get down here now please' her voice calming down as she see spots of blue and white in the tree slowing down, nearing where she was standing. The Cotton Bird pokemon tilts their head as they look at Riley, the red headed girl only somewhat annoyed at the little one not listening to her commands.

'Okay, how about we go exploring and see if we find any new pokemon hmm?' to this the little bird creature sings, as if that is enough for Riley to understand his answer. They head off into the new the unexplored areas, waiting to see another pokemon, or person.

Hi! My character's Candy, a polite, goal-oriented girl filled with ambition. Her platinum-blonde hair is long and curly; she plays around with it a lot, sometimes braiding it, sometimes tying it in two buns, sometimes just putting it in a simple ponytail. Her skin is light brown, and she has dark eyes. She's very fond of steel and ghost Pokémon, and is somewhat irritated by fire types.

Candy knows a lot about type advantages, Pokémon biology, etc, but has never actually trained or even taken care of one before. She's more or less clueless as to what that entails.

Jaiden let out a small gasp when she saw the HootHoot, she looked over to Sombra who only had an angry expression on her face, after reading her Pokedex she looked back to Sombra, "We should catch her, shouldn't we?" she asked Sombra, "Houndour!" Sombra barked, with a small nod. "Okay, Sombra. Use Ember!" she shouted, Sombra jumped out infront of Jaiden using the attack.

(somewhat like this) she has a dusting of freckles over her cheeks and nose. her usual outfit is a light blue crop top underneath a similarly-colored jacket with black leggings and black sneakers. she also wears a black and blue baseball cap, and wears her hair in a high ponytail.
she's a very laid-back girl, but she can definitely be a goofball, especially around close friends. however, she's not afraid to voice her opinion and stand up for what she believes in; she would just prefer to stay out of drama. she is originally from icirrus city in unova, but has traveled to both kalos and hoenn. while she has never had a pokemon of her own, she's grown very fond of grass types and flying types, but she really loves all pokemon.

The professor greets Candy with a handshake and quick nod - she's obviously distracted by something. "I've heard about you a little, Candy, I hope this pokemon I give you isn't too much trouble.." the professor places a pokeball in the girl's hands.

When Candy presses the button the red light flies forward and solidifies into a Aron, the Iron Armor pokemon! The professor then hands Candy a pokedex and five pokeballs. Candy examines the Aron with the pokedex and learns that it's a level 5 male with the Sturdy ability and a hardy nature! It knows the moves Harden, Tackle and Mudslap.

Sombra's ember hits the HootHoot full force. The red-eyed pokemon tries to fight back but is quickly put in it's place by the trainer and her pokemon. Sombra manages to weaken the HootHoot and when Jaiden throws a pokeball at it it shakes once...

The HootHoot was captured! Jaiden's pokedex flares to life. The HootHoot has the Tinted Lens ability and a Jolly nature. It knows the moves Foresight, Tackle, Growl and Hypnosis!

The professor smiles softly at Rachel and sips on her drink. After a moment of light chatter the professor hands Rachel a pokeball, "I do hope you like who I've chosen to be your partner."

Rachel clicks the pokeball open and finds a level 5 male Skiddo, the Mount pokemon, looking at her! It has the Sap Sipper ability and a Quirky nature! It knows the moves Growth and Tackle. The professor also hands Rachel five pokeballs and her pokedex.
