Robinfeather awoke, his whole body aching. Hearing the blind queens calls he shot up, rushing out of his den. His breath caught in his throat when he saw the sight before him- the small kit that used to be Bloosomkit was now only a bundle of calico fur..
she had dried beige foam around her mouth, and the sharp scent of death berries lingered near. Robinfeather placed his tail on Windsong's shoulder, whispering a prayer to Starclan. "Blossomkit, may Starclan lead your way and may you hunt and play among the stars."

Whitekit hadn't realised the severity of the situstion until her littermate fell victim. When her mother moved out of the den, Whitekit had woken up. She assumed it was nothing, until she heard her cries. Sleepy, but worried, Whitekit stumbled out of the den towards where her mother and Robinfeather was. She saw Blossomkit, but was slightly afraid to ask what had happrned.
"W-what's wrong with B-blossomkit? Why isn't she moving...?"

Poppykit stumbled to her paws, ears flat and eyes wide. She could smell the fear and sadness, and a softer underlying scent that had permeated the camp since Coldpaw disappeared. 'W-windsong?' She stammered, watching her mother, not fully understanding why she was reacting like this. 'What's happened?'

He hurried out of the warriors den hearing his mates frantic call. A wail escaped his jaws seeing Blossomkit, dead, before them. He rushed over. "Blossom? Sweetheart? Get up we can play warrior! " He fumbled with his words not believing she was gone. He looked at his mate eyes wide in pain. "Windsong. I will find who did this to our kit and they will pay," he said through clenched teeth

FireFeather woke up to BreezeFires words. He stood up, smiling in relief. He nuzzled his mate, before padding over to see his kits. Alive, although LilacPaw was looking as worn-out as he was. He wondered if NightPaw was having such a hard time as well, or if her sleep was simply masking her feelings.
Suddenly he heard cries from the nursery and his relief spiked into anxiety. He didn't need to see what had happened- he knew it from the pain in her voice. The same pain he still felt from yesterday. One of the kits was dead. He pulled his ears back, flat against his head, and wondered simply who may have committed such an act, and why. Why are they targeting kits and apprentices? The youth of RiverClan have not harmed anyone...

The deputy woke up and stretched, she sniffed the air. a unusual scent filled her nostrils. then padded out of the warrior's den to see cats gathering around the fresh kill pile. and saw blossomkit. "What happened to her?" she asked

lilypaw followed his mentor only moments after, stepping into the den. "robinfeather, what's--?" his gaze soon fell on the body of the tiny scrap, however, and he reeled, his fur rising from his skin with horror. who could have done something like this? why? lilypaw's whiskers trembled, and his eyes began to burn as he bared his teeth, frustration on his features.

'What's happening?' Poppykit demanded, legs trembling. She hated that nobody told her why everyone was so sad or angry. Turning to Whitekit, she implored her sibling. 'Whitekit, do you know what's happening?'
