It looks like their eyes are closed to me. I'm very curious about them too!

I'm glad we get chickens again this month. And rats! My favorite pet lines are never a gaurentee, so I'm happy when we do get them

Not gonna lie, I'm also a little disgruntled and weirded out by the adoption limit of 5 for the 2nd gens as well, considering there are 5 outcomes... Has that happened before with monthlies? I'm borderline wondering if it was a mistake.
Lots of times we generally get the amount of outcomes, plus half the number of outcomes as extra.
But I do love the color palette of the 2nd gen kittens!
I really hope we get a PPS of this guy:

I wasn't around when it happened, but apparently there was a litter of pets some years back where there were only....three? adopts and something like 6 or 7 outcomes. So at least this isn't as bad. If anyone was around when this happened, please correct me on what happened.

While not common, there are plenty of litters where the number of outcomes is more or exactly the number of the adoption limit.
Generally the ratio for outcomes is about 2/3 of the adoption limit. For instance a a litter of fifteen will usually be ten outcomes and an adoption limit of five will usually be three outcomes

So when it comes to the hatchery, is it possible to tell whether this'll be a chicken or something else (for example an Eastern Dragon)? I'm secretly praying for more dragons.
There's no way to tell by the egg, but it's assumed that they'll be chickens as only two artists (so far) have been able to use the dragon lines, and these eggs' artist isn't one of them. Could still be possible that we get dragons, but it's more likely to be chickens.

That's the first thing I thought when I saw them:
Are those horses missing their eyes 0.0
Wonder how they got that idea.... Was someone just like: EY! I've got a great idea: eyeless horses

Soooo happy about these store pets!! The fluffy tails open a gateway to my heart
Flufzity pups!!! Glad we still get occasional space event themed dogs! <3. About the only (minor) objection I can make is that their tails and hair aren't long enough. They would be a 1000x cooler with longer hair! Here is wishing the next doggo store pets are 80's rock stars!
