form ╚XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX╝ Heart pounding louder than the monsters on the Black Path, Cloudpaw watched nervously as Ivyleaf worked, his paws shifting uncomfortably. Before he knew it, the black and white she-cat had disappeared back into the comforts of the medicine cat den. Cloudpaw stared at the dandelions for what felt like moons, engulfed in a bewildered transe, trying to recall what he was supposed to do with them- he never did function well under pressure. He stared at the herbs a moment longer, until a groan of pain snapped him back to the present. He spotted some of the crimson-sodden cobwebs slipping off and quickly used his paw to fasten them back in place. Cloudpaw's blood was flooded with relief once Ivyleaf returned shortly after with a fresh batch of cobwebs in her jaws- then his heart sank, crashing to terror's ground and shattering into several pieces. Ivyleaf was leaving him alone with a dying clanmate? Why? Did she not like him? Had he humiliated her with his most ungraceful entrance? Was she still annoyed with him for this morning's incident? Why didn't she want to be around him, why didn't she want to help him? Deliver kits where, where? Where is she going that's more important than this? Cloudpaw just couldn't comprehend the reason... but either way, Duskfall needed his help. Ivyleaf, nor Ashpaw or Brightfall could assist him now- Duskfall's life was in his paws now! I can do this... Exhaling an uneasy breath, the stocky cream and tan apprentice replaced the cobwebs which were doused with blood. I can do this... He then bent down, lapped up a few of the dandelions, and began to chew them into a poultice. I can do this... He spat the pulp into the pad of his paw, before massaging it over the newly-placed cobwebs as gently as he could. Most of Duskfall's wounds were completely covered up, all but the gash on his neck, which was continuing to bleed out onto the soil heavily. Fear gripped Cloudpaw as he hastily grasped more of the cobwebs and pressed them to the wound, applying force with his vast paws. He could feel the warm, metallic, unpleasant sensation of the blood as it seeped through the cobwebs and immersed his fore-paws completely. Keeping one paw on the drenched cobwebs, Cloudpaw scooped up more with his other paw and applied a large quantity onto the gash. Cobwebs aren't working! The tom clenched his fangs apprehensively, pressing down on the cobwebs still as he turned to look at Maplespots. "Maplespots! I need you to!... to..." It just slipped his mind. What was he going to ask again? Cloudpaw shook his head, "I need you to go into the medicine cat den and grab some goldenrod in the storage. It has a long green stem with rows of yellow shoots- they kind of look like bells you would see on a kittypet collar." He ordered urgently, pressing more cobwebs to the deep gash. "Hurry, please!" He added. It felt odd giving orders to someone else for a change.

form ╚XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX╝ Hollowpaw began to grow self-conscious as they ventured further and further from the territory. She had never been in this part of the forest before, quite frankly, she wasn't even sure if it was allowed- but then, when had she cared about that? The wind howled gently, buffeting her sleek pelt with a bitter chill; it danced with some dead leaves littering the ground and dragged them away unwillingly to join in with its eery caper. The earth was damp beneath her toes, stagnant with the odor of decomposing wood nearly drown out by the mouth-watering scent of the catnip Hollowpaw carried in her jaws. Glistening stars pierced the darkening, charcoal sheet held up overhead, and the moon's luminating corona shone down on them both, turning their pelts to a delicate silver. The forest seemed to never end, and Hollowpaw was beginning to think Rainmask had just gone for an aimless walk, getting them both lost in the process. She wanted to stay something, to bring her concerns to the elderly cat's attention, but she decided to hold her tongue. Whatever Rainmask was doing, his intentions would be unmasked in due time. As they finally came to a stop next to an old, decaying fence, Hollowpaw glanced at Rainmask quizzically. "Okay... now that you've managed to drag me out here with you in the dead of night, what exactly is this place?" She asked over the bundle of herbs still fastened between her teeth.
