The deputy's eyes showed confusion. "You mean regret letting you into the clan? Of course I would never regret making a decision like this!" She said, her voice puzzled.

Nightshade shook her head. "You wouldn't know that. I have done a lot of wrong in my life. I take the blame for Brightstar's death. If I hadn't obeyed her and stayed with her, she may still be alive. If I had listen to my mate, he would never have met that badger. And if I hadn't opened my heart to the loner Hawk, he would still in alive" she whispered

Peppersong shook her head. "Everyone has done bad things in their life times; it's perfectly normal. Nobody, not one cat who has ever lived, is perfect. We all have faults, and we all have issues and problems we have to get over or work around. Never talk about yourself like that; everything that happened was meant to happen; it has been decided by Starclan." She said, hoping that she was getting across to Nightshade.

River walked around camp, tears running from her eyes when she thought about Brightstar. She had been hoping for her to make her a warrior soon but now, she was gone.

While Crow was sitting vigil with Wolf she heard Peppersong talking to Nightshade a little ways away, she sat up and padded over. "PepperStar," Crow mewed, using her soon to be name, "I too would like to join LeafClan." She said with extream certainty, she had never been more certain of anything in her intire life.

Peppersong shook her head. "Do not call me that yet, Crow. I have not yet been accepted by Starclan." Peppersong meowed. "Today and up to the minute I go to the Moonpool I am Peppersong." She continued. "But of course you can join Leafclan.

River watched them talk. She felt half in the clan but still felt a little like an outcast. Asking to join the clan at this moment didn't seem like the right thing to do, to her at least.
