form ╚XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX╝ Cloudpaw crushed his ears against his skull, shifting his paws guiltily. "I'm awfully sorry, Ivyleaf." The tom repeated softly. "I'm really trying hard. Honest, I am. It's just so hard to remember everything." He meowed sincerely, looking up at his mentor with round, sorrowful, apologetic optics."I promise I'll try my hardest to do it better, though. I promise. Please don't make me go away, don't make me leave, I don't wanna leave." Dropping his crestfallen gaze once again, the white and tan apprentice began to repeat Ivyleaf's phrase over and over in his mind so he could memorize it better. Camomile strengthens the heart for long journeys. Camomile strengthens the heart for long journeys. Camomile strengthens the heart for long journeys, oh mousedung, you've got to remember this, Cloudpaw.

form ╚XXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXXX╝ Hollowpaw took a step forward as she watched the black-furred tom leave with overt sorrow clouding his optics. It was obvious he had overheard her talking to Rainmask."Twilightpaw, I didn't mean-" She began, but she found herself incapable of continuing that sentence. What was she about to say? She didn't mean for him to hear that? She didn't mean for it to sound so offensive? She didn't mean what she said about him in general? No, she had meant every last venomous insult that had trickled from her fangs- this wasn't sympathy, this was pity. Okay, so her to-be-future-soulmate hated her now... so what? Hollowpaw's small, rounded, acute auds pricked upward at the sound of pawsteps approaching her. She glared at her short, petite paws in an attempt to avoid eye-contact with him at all costs. Go on, laugh already, scold me, harass me, she thought exasperatedly, but she did not hear what she had expected. Perhaps she had miscomprehended his words, but was he actually trying to comfort her? It sure sounded like it. Hollowpaw looked up from her paws, her icey gaze unfaltering as she stared at nothing in particular."You know, you're right... I don't need him, and he doesn't need my pity. Thanks, Rainmask, but I feel no sympathy for sharing my genuine feelings toward him." She echoed his words, nodding curtly to herself. I don't need a tom to complete myself. I don't need a mate in order to become a good warrior. The white and tabby fae turned her head to look up at the ragged elder, a small grin appearing on her maw, and she winked at him before the grin vanished again. "I'll go get your herbs." She wasn't really sure if she was doing this to prove something to Rainmask anymore, it definitely seemed that he understood her relationship with Twilightpaw. Regardless, even if the majurity of the clan despised him, why couldn't the old elder have some fun every once in a while?
