It's boring and unnecessary to me.
I can excel if I want to but the fact that I really don't care kinda stops me. It's obsolete to those who learn on their own just by living life and reading. People who learn from experience rather than sitting in front of a rambling person get poor grades and it eventually ruins their chances for a bright future. Grades determine the rest of our lives, no matter how much we don't want em to. It's crap.

I’m still in school for one more year, as I’m a junior, I just want to know why Chemistry is a requirement for this year...as I have no career in mind that needs this course as a requirement. Also, I hate how sometimes the teachers go fast when it’s time to take notes, and I ask them to slow down, and they don’t, it kinda frustrates me at times. Other then that, school is pretty chill if you ask me.

i think school is far from obsolete. if it was, then there is no reason why it exits today and why it has existed since as far back as humans can read and write. i think it's also very important to recognize that it says a lot that schooling used be something largely available to the upper class. it's been an important issue for a long time now to get as many people into school and to get everyone as equal of an education as possible. however, there a lot of issues in schooling today that holds lots of people back (standardized testing comes to mind, as well as the harsh schooling in japan). i hardly think, though, that diminishes it's importance in society and it's use.
school's also widened my horizons for me. i've interacted with more people and know how to socialize purely from it as an only child. that's not even to mention the many subjects that i've discovered an interest in at school that i wouldn't have glanced at otherwise, perhaps not even had heard of. the problem here is: every human is different. different types of schooling suits different kinds of kids. and that's difficult to address.
